Day 3

I hope your project is near completion. I was truly happy on the use of time in the lab over the last couple of days. Here are the words for next week:

1. abject
2. abscond
3. abstemious
4. abstinence
5. acquiesce
6. acrimonious
7. acumen
8. affectation
9. affluence
10. aficionado

Also, please respond tell me how you view your first week in school. Based on your first week, what are your goals for this school year. These goals do not have to be just academic but could be social or job related.

Have a great weekend.

the first week of school was very usual as we remember it from freshman and sophmore year. with that said i believe that the first week sucked, mainly because we have been through this before and after a while it gets very old and pointless. why do we have to go through the same procedures every year??? my main goals for this upcoming year are to pass every class with at least a B or higher, and to start to figure out what i want to do wit the rest of my life. another goal that i would like to accomplish is get a job, because now that im getting older i cant just coast off of the parents money. around 15 and 16 is the time when we have to stop relying on just our parents and start doing things on our own.

My first week of school was very long. The start is pretty much the same every year; going over the rules and expectations. With that said, I have some expectatons for myself this year. I want to continue to get good grades, play some tennis and balance a job. Junior year is a very important year; we have our ACT's and MME this year. These tests are very important because they determine which colleges will accept you. This year I hope to look at some more colleges and get more information on careers that I am interested in. I also want to enjoy my family and friends because every minute of every day counts!

The first week of school was somewhat exciting. I was looking forward to seeing what my teachers were like. After being told that Mr. Kay and Mr. Pouliot were team teaching, I was excited. I really like working in that sort of atmosphere. One of my goals for this school year is to get all my homework done on Friday and not wait untill Sunday to do it. Secondly, I would like to get to know more people better this year. Another goal I have is to get a job. My final goal I have for this school year is to go to as many of the football games as i can. Overall, this past week has been exciting and I am looking forward to acheiving my goals for this school year.

My view on the first week of school is good. I like all my classes and teachers. My goals for this year is to get good grades. Another goal that i have is to turn in all my work and have no missing assignments. Im going to work as hard as i can this year. Another goal is to not be late to any classes all year. So i will work hard this year and maybe try to find a job too. A job would be good.

My first week of school was average. Nothing bad happened, but nothing too exciting happened either. I like all my classes a lot though, so I was happy with that. It's cool because as a junior, I have more options for classes because I have most of my requirements over with. This year I got to pick classes I was really interested in, so I think this school year is going to be better than the others. I am starting to think about the MME, and that isn't something I'm looking forward to. One goal I have is to be prepared for the MME so I'm not stressed when the time comes. My goals for the school year are to keep up my grades, and stay focused the whole year. I get really busy, so socially, I just want to balance school and having time to hang with friends. Overall, I want to make this year the best yet.

My first week in school went good! I found all my classes and like most of them. This year definitely went better than last year because when your a sophomore your still in the younger group of high school and still get lost, well I did! I'm going to miss summer though.

My goals for this year are to focus more on school work rather than the social aspects of school and to keep my grades up and not fail! Job wise my goals are to start saving up. I'm not going to have my parents around much longer to do all of that kind of stuff so I need to start taking on the responsibility.

For me the first week of school was depressing. With all the homework and the drama I get all caught up in it and get depressed. So this year I'm going to try and make the best of things and not get so caught up in stuff. Also, I'm going to try harder in school and do my best to get good grades. Furthermore, I'll do my best to turn every assignment in on time. I'll also try to get to every class on time. Overrall, I just want to do better than I did last year.

My first week in school was pretty good. It was really nice to see everyone but I was just so tired from being used to staying up way late and getting up really early. I made some schedule changes and I like all of my classes so I guess everything is good. My goals for the school year are to try my best and to not procrastinate. Last year in math, I waited till the last second to do all of the homework and I got really behind so I'll try to better on that this year. Also, I need to try my best in everything that I do. Its going to be a hard school year but I'll probably do better and learn more if I put more into it. Another one of my goals not related to school is to get a job other than babysitting and get better at lacrosse.

My first week of school went very well. I like all my classes and am anxious to get going in my junior year. Every year I believe brings many things that you never expect and always something different. I like change and new things.
I have many goals for myself this year both academic and social. My goal is to sustain a 3.8 GPA throughout the entire year and to get a good score on teh ACT. I also will strive to get an A in my college spanish class. I also have the goal of passing my AP Environment Science exam in May. All my classes are challenging and in order to reach my goals I need to work very hard and keep focused.

The first week was a long one for me. I can't even believe that summer vaction was less than a week ago. Overall my week was pretty good. Based on this week, my goal for this school year is not waiting until the last minute to get a project done, because so far, that has helped me alot. I also want to get more driving time in so i can finally gt my license. I am also going to try to get a job. For the most part, this week was just like any other first week of school.

To me the first week of school was exhausting. I was getting used to waking up at ten or eleven every morning, so im wiped out. But other than that, school is good. I like all of my classes this year, and felt i got to choose classes i enjoy rather than required to do. Most of my goals for this year are academic. Junior year is going to be a more difficult year for me, because of the ACT and MME testing. This year is the year colleges look the most at, so i really have to focus on my grades, and make sure they stay up. But i have a feeling this year is going to be one of my favorites!

my thoughts on the the first week of school were very disappointing. I have never had so much freaking homework in the first week of school. I mean we got a project and i was up to my neck in math homework. But closer to the end of the week less homework was handed out and things began to mellow out . So the first week was pretty stressful, hopefully it will begin to improve. As for the goals this year, i'm think simple goals such as getting good grades, and having fun.

The first week of school was good. I originally had three AP classes, but decided that I didnt want to spend all year scrambaling around like a chicken with my head cut off. So, I dropped AP Lit, which gave me the chance to be in this class. I have absolutely no complaints about my teachers, or any of my classes. Altogether, it was a very good and productive week. During the school year, I plan to just try my hardest everyday. I plan on taking every opportunity I get, and making of it what I can. It will be a long year, but it will also be a fun and entertaining one.

My first week in school kinda sucked. Mrs. Perry gave us a quiz on the very first day, and I have had projects in every class. I have to stay focused on my goal to maintain a high gpa. Also i'm doing the career internship program so i need to manage my time wisely. It's always been a challenge to manage my time because theres always something that conflicts with my schedeule. Its either working, or seeing my friends; never a happy medium. Time management is one of my top priorities.

My first week of school went great! I was really excited to see all of my friends that i didn't see over the summer. I was also excited that i finally have you as a teacher, since last year we tried and it didn't work, so i am really glad i finally made it into your class. I was also really excited since i had recently joined the Boy's Varsity Tennis Team. My goals for this year are to play really strong and learn alot from all of the coaches so that i can become a better player for next year. My other goals are to try to get all A's and B's if i can do that then i have pretty much met all of my goals. Another one of my goals is to make sure i don't get any missing assignments. If i can meet even a small percentage of these goals, i count that as a huge step in becoming a more well rounded student.

I really like school so far. I like most of my teachers, and have friends I'm comfortable with in my classes. my goals for the school year is to get a 4.0. at least a couple times. i also want to do better on my ACT. that stresses me out super bad nd i cant wait to get a score i'm happy with and stop worrying about it. Socially i just want to make new friends. By senoir year i want to have at least met everyone in my class. so i'll work on it this year!

My first week of school was just like usual. I went to all my classes, saw all my techers, and got to know my way around again pretty well. I also learned all the procedures for each class. Overall I'm pretty staisfied with all of my classes. I have also set some goals for myslef this year. This year, I want to continue my good grades with another 4.0 to add to my collection. I know for that I'm going to have to take each assignment as it comes. I also want to continue working at my job and balance school and a girlfriend at the same time. I know I can do it though. I also want to actually learn what the vocab words mean so that I just don't think of quick memory strategies on friday seconds before the test like last year. Little stuff like that will make me a better writer and an overall better student. I think this school year is going to be one of the best years of high school. However, I also need to work hard to keep up the good work.

The first week of school was extremly long. It made me miss summer a lot. Sitting in desks seemed uncomfortable and unusual. Some classes I like and have a ton of friends in them. However, others I wish i was out of them. My goals are to keep up in my classes, and not to stress. I want to raise my gpa to a 3.8. It's going to be hard, but it's something I'm willing to work for. I view my first week in school as a fresh start. it was kind of overwhelming, but I feel like I know how to handle my priorities a little better this year. Based on the first few weeks my goals for this school year, are not just to get good grades, but actually take an interest in what we are learning. I want to push myself this year. As far far as other goals, I really want my junior year to be a great year. So I am taking all the necessary steps to do so. I think as long as I keep pushing for these goals I will be very successful.

My first week of school has been really fun. I was actually dreading coming back to school but i ended up liking all of my classes, teachers, and classmates. I feel very confident coming into my junior year. My goals are to maintain at least a 3.5 or higher if not a 4.0. I hope to keep my focus and energy on school and keep the mindset of "school first". I also hope to build new relationships with my teachers and classmates. I am in T.I.E.S, so being able to set a good example for my student is very important to me and will be very rewarding for him and i.

The first week of school was hard for me. The reason for that is that I had troubles getting back in to the habit of waking up and getting ready for school. But since this year is going to be on of my most important years for all of us I have some goals for my self this year. My main goals are to find out what college that I am going to. Have high grades to go to a good college. Plus get into the habit of prioritizing to better my life later on. My less important goals are to be the best tennis player I can be. Get a job so I can pay for things. Have a lot of fun with Mr. Kay this year.

My first week of school was alright. The first day was just horrible, and then the rest of the week got better as it went on. Now I just have to get my regular routine going for school, it will gradually get better. Last year, I ended the school year strong, as for my GPA, I had a 3.5. I really would like to keep that up. What I have planned to achieve this goal, is to actually study, and to complete all my homework, which I normally do that. As for other goals, in poms, I would like to work on my learning of the routine faster, and also start speaking my opinion more. I've always been the one who will just do anything to not cause any trouble, but sometimes it's good to be heard. As for my third and final goal, I want to get my license. AS of now, I'm only 15, but I will be turning 16 in November by the time my birthday comes around, I want to be able to drive, and to be semi free! [:

The first week of school was a little different than it has been in previous years. I still have not gotten around to using my locker. I know all of my classrooms by their location in their respective complexes, however I keep on forgetting which side of the school my classes are on. Mr. Kay's classroom is right next to Mrs. Miska's classroom, and is not on the other side. Some of my goals for this year include maintaining good grades. I want to do very well on my ACT test. I also want to come up with the type of college and ultimately the college that I want to go to. I am 99% sure that Junior year will be my hardest year of high school. From that inference, I know that I will need to try my absolute hardest in my studies, and set the bar higher than I have ever set it before.

At first the first week for me was stressful and tiring. But after getting to know the teachers a little more, and getting organized and ready for the year, the week got easier. My goals for this year are to keep a high grade point average, somewhere around 3.5. Last year my grade point average was under 2, mostly because of my test scores, homework, and the end of the year finals hurt it bad. Another one of the goals i have are to keep up on my homework grades, and in turning in my homework. Last year i didnt focus on turning in homework at all until near the end of the year. A job related goal i have is to make good money so i can save quickly for a car, so i dont have to worry about my parents getting mad at me when i go somewhere.

My first week of school was about as boring as the first week of any year has been. Even though it was only a four day week, it felt like it took forever to be over. It was a little more difficult than 9th and 10th grade were though. My goal academically this year is to get a 4.0 for the whole year. Finals always drop one of my grades to an A- so I'm going to try to study harder and keep everything at an A. I also want to help out more on my pom team and be more of a leader so I have a better chance at being captain my senior year. The other problem I have is time management, so I'm going to try to not procrastinate this year. :)

This school year id like to keep my gpa above a 3.8. Sports are a big part of my life and id really like to keep progressing in them also. I think that one day my hard work might pay off. The first week of school was boring as usual. I hate going through the syllabus' every year, over and over. Then we have to take them home and get 234561356 pieces of pointless paper signed by our parents. Well, the cool part was finding out who my cool new teachers were, Mr. Kay and Mr. Pouliot. One thing that I noticed this year too is that I will probably barely ever have to use my locker. Ive been to it like a total of 2 times last week. I wasnt happy with the amount of homework I recieved in just the first week though. My main goal for this year are to just better my performance from last year. Also, I want to bring home another district title for lakeland football. We finally won our first game, and defended our trophy in the battle of bogie lake, but for me it was just too close.

I believe that the first week of school felt extra long yet in some ways exciting. It is not always easy going from sleeping in until 10:30 everyday, to waking up at 6 to get ready for school. Although, I did notice this week that every year it takes less and less time to adjust and get back into the schedule of the school year. I found this week to be exciting because I spent the first two days with Miska and Kababik for my Lit and History teachers, and the next two with Kay and Pouliot. Due to this, I had a lot more fun the second two days. I have many goals for this school year. Starting with staying organized and ahead in all of my classes. I also hope to push myself to try harder in school and not let my busy schedule get in the way of my school work. This year is a big year for us juniors and I am going to try my best to prepare for the MME and ACT so I do not get stressed out when it comes time to take the test. For my junior year, my main goal is to find a fair balance between all of my social events and my school work.

My first week of school was better than what I accepted it to be. I happy with all of my classes and, I am actually enjoying school. Last year I was in an AP class and I loved the set up of the class with the people. In the long run I was glad to have taken the class but I was always stressed constantly. This year I plan on setting goals and then making them without being stressed. I am trying to think more of my future this year by making sure that I take more classes that have to do with the job I want and taking more time to figure the exact job I would like to have. Academically, I want to get good grades and work harder than I already am to get good grades. I really want to make sure that I spend more time with friends this year because I will have more time to do it with out sports an AP. All together, I am feeling like this year is starting out well, and that I think I will have more fun with the classes and time I have this year.

My first week of school was pretty much the same as last, but i still don't fell like a junior. This years goals are the most important of all because they consist of our SATs ACTs and MME. One of my first goals would have to be preparing myself for taking these tests. Another goal is maintaining a high school job as well as keeping my grades to my fullest potential. I would like to try to receive an B or higher in every class and make this through out the year. The last key goal i would like to have is keeping up with my friends and making new ones. Its important to set this goals because you would have nothing to strive for if you didn't.

The first week of school has been an eye opener for me. I really wasn't expecting some of my classes to be so hard and others to be so easy. Im really not looking forward to some of myh harder classes and the huge homework load that i'm going to get this year. I will have to set high goals for myself this year if i plan on getting good grades, and that means alot more work than i'm used to. My one major goal this year is to survive my A.P. biology class and somehow pull out with a good grade. I also want to get a job that i can keep all year, but i'm not sure if thats realistic with my homework this year. Based on this first week, im assumeing that this year will be the hardest one yet for me, but i'll stick it out.

The first week of school in my junior year was pretty good. The hours seem to go by slower in the beginning of the year; hopefully that will change. This year I have many goals I hope to achieve. One of my goals is getting an A in your class because i know I'm capable, I just have to take pride in my work and all that stuff. Another one of my goals is doing good on the MME's and all the other tests we have to take. Outside of school, I would like to get a job. If I get a job, I don't want to let my grades slip so I will have to work even harder to maintain both good grades and a job.

My first week has been very chaotic. I had to basicly get my whole sheduel changed to get out of my math class and get into your 3rd hour, it took a while but i;m glad it finaly happened. My goals for this year are to Get good grades, work hard, pass my road test, and have a great tennis season. I don't consantly want to be grounded this year just becuase I didn't do a simple assignment. I want to do really good this year so my parents will trust me to be responable driving my car. I cannot wait to get my license so i don't have to rely on everyone else for rides.

My first week at school was the same as previous years. I did not like how we have to repeat all the syllabus junk over and over. but other then this my first week was fine. My goals for this school year are to pass each class with a c or higher. I am hoping to find a way to earn some money over the year. I am also hoping to find time to spend with friends during this year.

This first week of school seem to go by fast for me. It went pretty good, i am fine with my teachers and classes. My goals for this school year are to give my best effort and not procrastinate. I hope this year to keep my career internship. Grades are also very important to me and even more so to my parents, so i would like to have a C or hopefully higher in each class. I hope basketball works out as well, even though i had shoulder surgery. Last, i want to have a good year without any downfalls and make more friends.

The first week of school went by fairly smoothly. Im happy with all my teachers, and classes I received. My main academic goals are to get good grades in all my classes, and to get my overall G.P.A up. Now that I have a job I hope to save up enough money to get a decent car. I hope to get through the school year without getting in trouble. I also hope to get all my homework done and turned in on time. I also hope to get a good idea of were im going after high school throughout this school year.
