I hope you have had a good week. Based on the posting thus far, it seems that people are understanding why we are looking at different cultures. I like that people are thinking about which cultures they find most interesting. Also, I like that people are becoming aware of how little we know about these other cultures even though we think we do. Sad that much of what we know is so slanted by the media or stereotypical. Now, you have been empowered with the knowledge.

When i look at an older person i cant help but to think how im sure they were just like my friends and i. Parties, love, fun, then i wonder why when you get older does your life change drastically? On the outside you see grey hair, dropping skin, smokey eyes but what do you think is really inside? weather you are young or old you are still a person with needs and wants. some people think because your life may almost be over its time to stop living but, when you learn you are goin to die soon life becomes more then just a daily chore it becomes livley and worthwhile. all im saying is life should be something you are thankfull for and EVERYONE should have a chance to live their lives to the very fullest :)

i think that its saying in every old person there is still a kid. even if it is its at heart. i think this quote is true. i believe that a lot of old people could still do some of the stuff we do. some times we wish we could go back in time and fix things and i think a lot of old people are like that to. i think that's what they are wondering. that's my opinion on the quote.
I think that what the quote is saying is that even if you are old, you still think like a kid at times. Everyone has those moments where they are not always mature. Everyone has those fun moments where they feel like a kid again. All of these things can happen; even when you are old!

What the quote means is that old people still want to do things that a young person would do. And that they are wondering how their life went by so fast. Old people want to do what they used to be able to do but they cant do it. Inside old people want to do what they would do as a kid and they could try but it wouldnt be the same.

I wonder what happend every day. i wish things would go back to how the 90's were. I miss the old times. And i bet people who are older than me think the same as when they were younger. When you were born is always the best and thats just how people think, i think it. Everyday theres new things and that just goes further into what you already don't like. So in all ols people miss the way things use to be before all the technology, health problems, and fuel shortages.
I think about this situation a lot. I reminisce on the past every day. Time can slip away from you if you don't enjoy it. Deep down, everyone has feelings from the past. I figure as life goes on, your situation is always changing. Live your life to the very fullest. Age can just be a state of mind, if you try to enjoy what you have.

this quote i believe is saying, live your life whle you can. it goes by way too fast, so fast that you soon find yourself looking back on life. asking questions why you may or may have not done things. lost oppurtuinities. life is relatively short, an should be enjoyed to the maximun. life is what you make of it. live life for you.

I think that this statement shows that when you grow older you wonder where the time went. A lot of people when they grow older wonder where there life went. I mean they are looking at them selfs in the miror looking at the grey hair they may have and sagging skin wonder where there life went. So i believe that you should live life to its fullest potential.

This quote i belive represents looking back on your life. I belive that every old person wants to look back and remember all the memories that have passed. They think back and maybe they did a lot and maybe they didn't. Being old doesn't have to limit on what you want to do. They can still want to hang with friends and go to parties. They still want to make the best of there life for as long as they can. This is a very wise and true quote.

I really dont know what to think about this quote. Its like that no matter how old you get you still got that kid in you. I think also its saying that in every old person there childhood went by so fast that they are wondering what happend. Older people relize that they didn't do the things they wanted to and are to old to do them now. They didnt live there lives to the fullest and they regret that. People dont relize that life is a gift and need to cherish it. Old people were once kids, they know what its like to be younger.

Once again, this quote reminds me of another (this seems to be the theme of my quote-based blogs, eh?). "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." (Matthew Broderick in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.) A rather abstract comparison, but the evidence of similarity between the two is remarkable.
In this quote, Pratchett is explaining to us that elderly people wish they could relive their younger days, or perhaps do the things that they did years ago and unable to do. Matthew Broderick's line is explaining just what it says, life moves at a very fast pace, even though it may seem slow. If you move too fast, then you're going to miss all of the finer things of life.

I think this quote means that inside of every aging person is that longing to go back to youth, and being younger again. You can't help but to think when you look at older people, how they must have been just like us teenagers when they were our age, but all we see them as are our elders. I think childhood and youthfullness is the most cherished thing and we have to really live it up while we can and not hold back, because your only young once and theres no room for regrets. We grow so much throughout our lifetimes and learn so much about ourselves, but I think now is just the beginning of our lives and I know when I am old and gray, I am always going to want to come back to my childhood and these years because they are some of the best times of our lives.

I think this quote is about how every older person believes that their life went by too fast. Many people live their life how they wanted to. Others look back and think that they should have done things that they hadnt. I think it is also saying that older people relize that they didn't do the things they wanted to and are to old to do them now.
I think that this quote means that people did not spend their life the way that they wanted to. This could also mean that older people want to be young again. This is becuase young people can do a lot of stuff older people can't. Another meaning for this quote could be that older people have so much fun when they are young, that time just flys by. I know when I get older I am always going to wish I could be young again.

I feel bad for the older people who are just dying to be young again i mean they're probably wondering how did i get so old so fast? It happens I personally don't want to get old what so ever but i cant think about it because its going to happen regardless. Live your life to the fullest is all i can say people die at all ages some die before their born. Live your life to the fullest and appreciate what you have and what you've had.
when you get older you still have fun, its in different way than it was when you were a little kid. as you get older your able to do more things. drive go to differnt places, which when you were a kid you sat at home playing in the back yard over summer vacation which seamd like it was for ever. and i think thats what people think, "what happened" what happened to playing in the back yard and hanging out with your friends, playing on the beach. i think thats what older people think.
