Day 19

Based on today's movie, Defending your Life, think about the idea of going into a past life pavillion. Based on your current life, your current expectations and hopes, if you lived a past life do you think that it was similar to who you are now? If you could pick one person or one time period to have lived who or what would it be and why? What values of that person or time do you most wish you had? Could you take these values on now? If yes, how? If no, why not?

If you were not here to watch the movie today, sorry I guess that is one of the negatives to being absent.

Well in the movie there lives were not similar at all, so i don't think that my life would be similar. I feel that i was a man who signed the declaration of independence. I feel that i knew BEn Franklin. I think that if i had to pick a person i would pick Julius Ceaser. Even though he was assassinated, i still would want to be him cuz his life was kick ass. I wish to have the power that he haad. The power to have any women hwe wanted and to be able to have absolute power. Haha i wish i cold take these values on now but iw ill probly never happen. Unless i become absolute rular of the United states.

If I had lived a past life I think that it would have been similar to who I am now. If I could live in one time period it would be the 50's. I would live in this time period for a number of reasons. One reason is because in the 50's family values were very important. Another reason is because there were a lot of fun things to do in the 50's. For example, kids could go to drive ins, and people hung out at diners. Also, people showed a lot more respect during that time period. I feel that people should respect one another. Now a days, people show no respects for each other. I wish other people and myself had more family values. Also I wish more people showed respect. I feel that I could take on these values. I could do this because I already show respect to others, and I would like to spend more time with my family. I plan on staying at home with my family more instead of hanging out with my friends.

I think that based on the movie, my past lives were similar to my life now. If what the movie says was true, then I would keep going back to Earth for the same reasons, like Daniel kept going back because of his fear. If I could pick one person to be in another life, I would want to have been Amelia Earhart. Amelia had so much bravery and determination, which I admire. I hope to have the type of bravery she once had. I think it would be such a cool experience to learn how to fly, and to take adventures as she once had. I also would really like to know what happened when she disappeared. Its just one of those mysteries I would love to figure out. I think that I can acquire the type of bravery Amelia Earhart once had, but I need to believe in myself more than anything. I think that I could take on the values of Amelia Earhart, because determination and bravery are created by the mind and the heart, both of which I have.

I think that if I had past life I would have been nothing like I am today. I say this because in the movie they were nothing like their past lives. I think if I had a past life I would want to live in the 1800's. I would have wanted to be Abraham Lincoln. I say this because he is known for his honesty and integrity. He was looked up to by all americans, and is still widely recognized today. He was one of the greatest american presidents. The only bad part is that I would have been murdered. I think that it would be harder to take on these traits and values today, but i definately feel it could be done. I feel that these traits would not get me as far today, as it had got him back in the 1800's.

If i were to have lived in a past life i dont think that it would represent who i am today. If i lived in a past life i dont believe that i could think of what i was. Even though i say that it wouldnt represent who i am today i believe that i am very different from anyone in the world. If i really had to choose someone from along time ago i think i might have been Al Capone who was a famous gangster in the 1920's. The values that i would want from him is his the way he earned other peoples respect, even though he had to kill a man, he really got the job done. Today i couldn't take his values because he was such a violent person and if i go around killing people all the time like he did i would be sentanced to death.

Based on my little lifespan, I think that I wouldn’t have changed all that much from my previous life times. I have always wanted to know how it was to live in the time of Queen Elizabeth. I think I would like to be a princess of that time. Maybe I wouldn’t like to be in her family, but a princess from that period. I don’t think I would like to rule, but I would like to maybe be the daughter of a ruler. I mean, can you imagine having the power to be a ruler, and having all those clothes! I would want the value of family. I defiantly would like to have a close royal family, like in the princess diaries, and not one that everyone kills each other for the throne. I could have the family value now, but I already value my family. I think it is one of my most prized values I hold. I think it is the only thing that keeps me going because if I didn’t have my family, I don’t now what I would do.

ok in the movie people had past lives, in the movie there past live were diffrent then wat they are now. I think your personallity would be the same though, so yes i believe if i have lived a past life it would be similar to me because it like my same soul. if i could pick a place im time were i could have lived in a past life it would be western unitedstates in the 1800's because things were very diffrent back then and i just think it would be a more adventurous life.

Relating to the movie i don't think my past life would be similar. Two reasons, i would of never known the person i am today, and because each past life is different and it could never relate to the life you live today. If i could pick one person to be i think it would be Hue Hefner. Not only was he rich but he got the ladies and fame. Living his lifestyle would be a privilege and attending the wild ass party would be off the hook!! Some values he has still to this day is being rich and famous. Knowing his values im pretty sure i could handle them.

I think that if I lived a past life, my life would be somewhat similar now. Since anyone would most likely keep going back to Earth to "start over," I don't think that the person would ever really learn to be differnt in their next life so that it doesnt repete itself. That is because they can't learn from their mistakes if they don't remember making them. If I could pick any time period to have lived in early America. This was a time period where everyone finally found freedom and had alot of patriotism. We now already have freedom. I think that America isn't as proud or as patriotic as it once was, but i think it should be. Not everyone has it because of the hard times America in general is going through.

In the movie their past lives were not similar to their current lives at all. I don't think my past life would be similar. If I could pick to be one person and live in one time period; I would be a Knight in the Dark Ages. I would love being able to serve a king and do whatever I want. Pillage the village and rape the woman, that's what I always say! Just kidding. I do think it would be cool to go back to that time and see if our history books are 100% correct. I think the Medieval times are one of the greatest times in human history. I always attend the Renaissance Festival because I love those time periods.

Compared to my life now and if i were to be living back then, i feel that there would be numerous things tat were different than now. Judging from past times, i feel i would have wanted to try an live back in the 60's. The reason for this is because i watch all of these movies and how great these times were so id like to see this. Some of the traights this time period had that i wish we had today would be the sence of peace. Today would be so much more calm and nobody would be killing eachother. I feel not only me but others could take these traights for many reasons. They also were very caring. They showed to eachother and were friends with anybody.

If I lived in a past life I think I would have been very different then who I am today. I think I would just be more social in a past life. If I could pick one period of time that I would have liked to live in it would be during the hallocaust. I would pick this time because it was an amzing period in history. I would have liked to help the soilders coming back from war, and be a nurse. I would have wanted to support our troops and hear all the stuff that was going on and think what those people thought during that time. I would have wanted to have strength and courage during this time. I think that I might be able to take on these balues on a bigger scale if given the chance.

I think if I lived a passed life it would have not been similar to my current life. In my previous life I probility would have been a farmer. I think that because I have always wanted to be a farmer since I was about 2 years old. This might have been a indication from a past life that farming and agriculture is something that i did. Also i might have been a mountain man like Robert Redford in Jeremiah Johnson because I enjoyed all of the same things that they did back in the 1800's. I enjoy trapping, hunting, and fishing. They did the same thing as I do now for a sport/hobby. If I could go back I would go back in time and be Johnny Cash. I would want to be him because he had a amazing life, including the good, bad, and the ugly times. He has experience many things throughout his lifetime.

If I lived a past life I doubt it would be similar to who I am now. I say this because even if it was still me its a different lifetime. If I could pick one person to have lived as I'd have to choose a knight. I say this because knight are noble and brave. Also, I've always wanted to learn the ways of the sword. Bravery is definately a value I could take on now. I could have bravery by doing a lot of things, small or large. I could stand in front of people and speak, or even ask somebody out. Both of these take bravery.

I think i would like to live in th 50's if i could pick a time to live in. I would pick this time for a lot of reason. One of the reasons is they respected and trusted eachother alot more. The kids in that time could go to diners and drive in movies and do all kinds of things that we cant do now without your parents worrying about you. The people in the 50's respected eachother more too. In this time period some people dont respect others or trust others. I think that trusting and respecting are very good values to have. I think i do have these values now, but probably not as much as they use to.

I belive that life after death wouldnt compare to my life now. It is supossed to be something greater than you could ever imagine. Personally i tihnk my personality and my attitudew would remain same. I think that also i wold have the same morals. However i think being in this new world i would gain more of anknowledge and overlook on life which could cause me to change. If i could live as one person in one period i wouldve been wayne gretzky. I love his lifestlye and i loved the era he grew up in. There was much prosperity, and peace. Wayne was someone who gave back, he donated much to charity and was a great man, this is why i admired him. I think i could have taken some of some of his qaulitites like generosity and and kindness.

Yeah I think that my past life pavilion person would be similar to myself. I imagine myself as Muhammad Ali. A cocky and strong minded person. I picked him because he is one of my biggest idols and a true american sports star. Also he has many traits that i look up to and follow. I really wish that i had his value of pride. Ali had a swagger like no other and could always back up his cockiness with his quick jab, fast feet and explosive right fist. He was proud of himself for all of his great accomplishments and if he lost he worked hard to regain his dominance. This is why he was crowned with the initials G.O.A.T.( Greatest Of All Time). I believe i can also achieve the value of pride that Muhammad Ali showed in his peak. I can do this by putting everything i have many hours of hard work and determination into something to become the best at it. Or on a smaller scale i can try harder at the small things in life.

If i had lived a past life I think that me and that person would be very similar in many ways. If i could Live in a time period I would have choose the 70's. This time period was great for me because people were having fun being hippies and doing what they wanted to do. Plus every one had afros back then so i think I would have fit right in with them. If i could have been a person in the 70's it would have been Bobby Seale. Bobby was one of the two founders of the Black Panther party, he worked to help black people to be treated better, and while African American people are treated better today people still make fun of them and that's just not right. I try to take a stand for minorities by telling people that its not right to make fun of black people, and its just ridiculous that so many people in white lake hate black people. I mean its like they blame black people for most of their problems just for being black, and a bunch of people didn't vote for Obama because he was black and that's not right.

well in the movie the peoples lifes were not similar at all. So i really dont think mine would be similar at all to my life right now. If i could pick someone to be it would probably be, bob marley. Only because he was a good person, and he was a great singer. He knew how to make people happy. He also made alot of money and i just think he is sweet. I honelty dont think i would take these values now only because i love my life now and how its going.

I guess it would be similar to how it is now. I wouldnt know what my pastlife was like if I had one cause I really cant tell you. A time period I could see myself live in would be the 70's and 80's. When I watch shows or movies based on one of those two time periods, I could see myself doing what people like me used to do. I wish we still had the values of having a good time all the time, and survival of the fittest. Kids back then knew how to have a good time and didnt care what anyone thought and did it anway. Back then, there was a basic idea that if you competed in whatever it was, you were going to make it while the weak wouldnt. I wish today society wasnt so soft and complained about everything. I do take on these values by having fun and competing for my future in school.

i believe that my past lives would be very similar to mine. i'm a big believer in reincarnation and the basis of that is returning to earth to work out issues or faults in a person. so i believe my past selves are very much like myself, but maybe just a little more screwed up. I've always wanted to live in the 1920's. i think it seems like such a fun and crazyy era, but I'd wanna leave as soon as the depression hit. it was the era of prosperity and everyone thought that life couldn't get any better, not to mention all the speak easy's and flapper dresses! i think the value i would most like to take from that era was the sense of carefree lifestyle. at least from what i've learned the 20's seem like a carefree time. i dont think i'm capable of that lifestyle now. i think things are a little too serious now a days. i have to work my booty off in high school to get into a good college to get a good job and to get a good source of income. it all just seems like a lot of work.

Based on today’s film I believe that if I did have a previous life that this one would be better then that one. I believe my life today would be better because you learn from your previous mistakes. I may have done something horrible in my previous life and now I have learned from it. I believe each life would get better and better is there was such things as another life. If I got to pick what time period I could live in it would be the present. Today’s technology is the greatest it’s ever been. That is why I would choose to live in this time period.

Based on the movie, I believe that your conciousness travles on and not your memory. So, I would have to say yes, if there are past lives then your past lives are probably very similar. If i could have lived in any time period, I would pick the Revolutionary war. To fight in that epic war would have been such an honor. The values that I would have taken out of it are honor, family, and defending your country. I suppose I could take on these values now. I belive that I do have the family part down. Protecting my country and honor would come with joining the military.

I don't think that I would be like myself at all in a past life. This is because I think your main morals and goals have to do with your environment. You environment and upbringing affects who you are and become. The stuff that happens in your life is like a chain of events so I doubt I would be a lot like myseft in this life. However, I would probually have some simularities such as likes and dislikes. I think I would want to be anyone that was important and made a huge difference. I think that's because I would want to be remembered far after those who I knew died. I would have liked to lived in the time period of the 70's in America. This is because there seemed not to be a worry in the world. The economy was taking off and everyone seemed really happy. I wish I could take on the value of being carefree and be able to relax. Also, not always having to look ahead and make sure to have a plan. I don't think you could take this on today because it's a very different time period. We are now competing with everyone in the world to succeed so we have to try really hard.

After seeing everyone's past lives in the movie, I don't think my past life would be like mine is now. In the movie Julia and Daniel's past lives were pretty different from their lives that they were living then. If I could go back in time and be anyone, I would want to be someone on the USA Olympic team when the USA beat the Soviet Union for the first time. I can only imagine the excitement they all had. When my team won states the past couple of years, that is exciting, but beating an undefeated team and coming up from nothing, would have been the best feeling ever. Values of people on that team could be dedication. They had dedication to their team and the country. They were dedicated to beating the Soviets and winning the gold. Yes, I could take these values, anyone could have dedication to something. If you want something badly enough you will be able to achieve it if you work hard enough.

In the movie, when Daniel and Julia visited the past life pavillion, it showed lives that were nothing similar to the life they were currently living. So, I would assume, that my life would not be too similar to my past life. I would probably choose to live in the 1940's/50's. That was a time when family values were important, trust between parents and kids was easier to come by, and parents didn't have to worry, as much as they do now, about the safety of their child out on the street. Yes, I definitly could take on these values now, because I basically already have them. My family is the most important thing in my life, and without them I wouldn't be where I am today. And based off society today, family isn't really important to many poeple. I have to admit, i fight with my family, but I'd rather have them then not. In the 40's/50's, families got along, relied on eachother, trusted eachother; that's really what matters. Family values should still be a part of everyone's life, and it's sad to say that's not true.

I think my past life if i had one would be the opposite. I believe if there are past lives they would be different than the others. I cant say I have a person I would like to be, but I would like to have lived in the 70's. The times there were much more peaceful, caring, and free. There were less crimes to worry about also less worries (economy and political.) The values of the 70's were much more leniant but good. Although they were better people, rules were limited and people were care-fee. I wish I had these values. If I could i would deffinetly take these values on. No, I probably couldn't take on these values now, nor would I want to. I don't think I could run a multi-billion dollar corporation at my age, nor do I want to. I just want the money. On the other hand, if I could choose one time period to live in, I would probably choose the 1920's. I learned all about the roaring 20's last year in history, and it just seems like the funnest time to live in. But then again, anything sounds better than living in this time right now considering the state of our economy.

If i could pick one person, it would be a general or soldier from the 1940's world war too era. I would like to have lived in this time period and have been a soldier or general because it was a very descructive and progressive time, for the entire world. And having been a soldier in World War 2, it would've been the best feeling to have helped liberate the Jews from concentration camps, and have helped fight in one of the biggest wars known to man. The values that this person would have would have been, courage, bravery, confidence, and bravery. JI could take these values know, because i need confidence, bravery and courage, because those are the values i need most. They would me make greater decisions and help lead, instead of follow most of the time.

Yes, I think that in my past life I would have been similar to who I am right now. But I'm not sure because in that movie, the people were very random and kinda weird so I really could have been anyone. I hope that I was at least someone interesting. If I could pick one time period, I would have gone back to midevil days and been a princess that lived in a castle and had many sexy knights keeping me safe. I think it would have been very interesting to live back then based on going to the reniassance festival and stuff like that. And being a princess would be pretty cool. With that comes the values of leadership and also acting properly and being nice to everyone that lived in the castle. I'm sure there were princesses that were bitches back then and had slaves but I wouldn't be like that. I don't really understand the last question but yes, I guess I kind of have the values of leadership and being nice to people. I mean not enough to be a princess because I'd need a crown but values back then haven't changed much from values now.

If I was able to see my past lives, I think that we would be similar, but only to a certain extent. How I believe I would be similar with my past lives would be, my beliefs, my fears, my strong points, as well as my weak points. It doesn't matter what I would have looked on the outside, or what culture I was from, I truly believe that I would have been the same person on the inside. From watching the movie, I interpreted that over all his past lives, he had the same fears, that's why he kept getting sent back. I believe that, that what you believe in, and who you are, doesn't change. If I had to chose a time peroid to live in, it would be around the mid to late 30's when the Great Depression just ended. Going through that tragij time peroid was difficult for a lot of people, and some people couldn't take it. However, after the depression ended, everyone was broke. They had to start over, get their jobs back, earn their money to support their family, and not give up hope. I truly believe that if we would go through a Depression now, in the 21st century, no one would be able to handle it. Man kind is so dependent on their electronics to do everything, and inventions are being created every month, or at least it seems like. People wouldn't be able to last with out their cell phones, iPods, and computers. Nevertheless, the people of the mid to late 30's did, and they had no money at all. That is truly remarkable, how the people who had lost everything, never gave up hope, and worked to earn everything back. It wasn't just handed to them, they worked for every cent they earned. Although, it would be very very very hard, I would have liked to live in that time period, just to experience it. The values I wish I had of the people of that time period are their strength and hope. Going through the Depression must of been the hardest thing these people may have ever had to do, and making it through with hope that they'll make it, it something I wish I could have. I could take these values on now, I assume, but only if I have enough courage and confidence in my self to do so. However, confidence is my weak suite, so I'd have to strive for this, and it mat be a long process.

In the movie their past life's were not similar. I believe that my experiences, family, and upbringing have made me who I am. When you are brought into this world you are shaped into the person who you become. So, based on this believe if I lived in a past life I most likely not be the same person that I am. If I could pick one person to be I would chose to be George Patton during WWII. I picked George Patton because I admired his military tactics during WWII. I liked Patton's values of earning respect of his fellow comrades, determination to become a soldier, and his way of not conforming to how other people thought he should be. His speeches to his soldier's were forceful and effective. I wish I had Patton's respect of other's and his way of non-conforming to how a person with authority should act. Patton spoke harshly to his troops not witholding anything back and he earned the respect of his soldiers.
I don't believe I could take on these values now. The reason is that we live in a society where we have to conform to what people think is right. We can't just speak exactly what we feel because it might not fit into the expectations of others. Patton didn't care what others thought of him, however, in our society we have to care about what other people think of us.

If there really are past lives i hope i was nothing like i am now. Not because i dont like who i am, i love my life. But because i hope that i experienced other things, even if i dont know about them now. I dont think i could pick one person in history to have lived as. There are so many great people to choose from. I guess some people i would love to have lived as would be Amelia Earhart, William Talbot, and Hana Pravada. Amelia Earhart because she was such an amazing woman. William Talbot because he invented photogenic drawing, or the photographic process. Lastly, Hana Pravada who is a Holocaust survivor. I would love to live as her because i really love learning about the Holocaust and reading the stories of survivors. When it comes to Hana i most wish i had her bravery and determination. She was determined to live, whatever it took. I could take these values on now by facing my fears and never giving up in my goals. I guess this all gets back to the movie today, facing our fears.

I think if I was to go into a past life pavilion I would think i would show some of the same traits I do today. I believe that if we were reincarnated that it would be almost impossible to not be the same person in one way or another. If I had to pick a period to live in I would pick to live in the 50's. I think the decade just seemed fun and glamorous. With people like Marilyn Monroe there was no way it couldn't of been fun. I can see myself dressing how they did in the 50's and living life happily there. Also with Elvis being big who wouldn't want to live in that time period. Things just seemed easy going and relaxed. That is the person I always wanted to be relaxed and able to have fun.

Having a ton of money, buying whatever i wanted without worrying about a budget, meeting and dating famous people. That would be my ideal life. I have also always wanted to life in the 1800's and wear those fancy dresses and stuff. i've always wanted to live back then. the only thing i wouldn't like is the lack of technology.

If I had lived in a past life, I feel it would not even be close to what it is now. One reason is because in the movie their lives are significantly different. Also, I think that I am fairly successful in life so far, and I think I probably learned that in past lives if they exist. If I were to pick a time period to live in I would have picked World War II. I wouldve likes to have fought in the war and be remembered as a hero. I would've also treasured my life more if I would've done that. But, who knows? Maybe I did. I would like the courage of living back then and of the war. I would've like to be a general too, so I could have courage and leadership. These traits are possibe now through the same means. I could go into the army, however, I have different plans for my life. With that being said, if I'm drafted into the army, I would go without complaining and I would go fearless (or at least i hope so).

If i was going to a past life pavillion, i nk my past life would be nothing life my life today. Everyone changes over time, theres no way theyd be the same. I am who i am, by the choices ive made, but also the mistakes. If i could pick one person or time period to live in i would probably pick a famous person but in the present. Being in the present i like being able to make mistake without being killed for it, and in the present their is also way more technology that i need everyday. Also, being a famous person would be great because you would have plenty of money, and pretty much get what you want; which is what i want all the time. I would love to take those values now but it just doesnt always work how you want. I like my life for the most part so i wouldnt want to change much, i am who i am.

If I lived a past life in some aspects it would be similar to my life now. I feel this way because I am only 16 ½ years old. If my past would be different it would only be because technology and advancements would not be there. I would like to live I ancient Rome. I want to walk into the Colosseum when it is whole. I want to walk though the Forum and see what it looked like before it was in ruins. The values of the time I wish that I have would be their attention to detail and workmanship. We know the way ancient Rome would look because of their detailed records. Even today we see the beauty of their architecture in the remaining ruins. While this is not a moral values now because recording this information would be so much easier in this digital age. However I would take pictures not draw things and I would type information not handwrite it.

If I lived a past life I think that it would be similar to who I am now. I feel like if I had a past life I would change physically but still have the same good qualities as well as flaws. If I could pick one person's life to have lived, it would be Marilyn Monroe. She just seems to be the definition of beauty and success in the 50's. What I really love about Marilyn Monroe is that she made her name known globally and even today people still think of her as one of the greatest actresses. The value of working to have your name known is a large one but I'm sure it can be done. I'm not sure if I would be able to, but if I dedicated my life to something, I think it would be possible. I think anything is possible if you give everything for it.

If I had lived in a past life, I would think that it would be similar to who I am now. If could pick one time period to have lived it would have been the 1960s, which actually wasn't that long ago. This was a time when people stood up for what they believed in and for what was truly right. A portion of people then were extremely open minded and cared about the country and mainly civil rights. The values I would most like to have would be the rebelious attitude and determination to create equality among all people. Being individual and making your own opinions are another value. Along with questioning authority and life itself. I try to take on these values today, and like to think I do when the opportunity arrives. Its something that I really admire a lot in people and respect.

In the movie, the people who went to the past lives pavillion were not the same people that they were in their past lives at all. The one older man had been a little gir in his past life and he was hopelessly confused. So looking at these examples, i believe that i was nothing like i am now in my past lives. I feel like i was in the time period of Ancient greece. I think that if i had to pick someone i would pick Achilles. Achilles was a hero known for many centuries and in some cases today. I wish i could be half the man Achilles was. He was a strong war hero, feared by all men, and wanted by all women.

I would think that my past life I would be a person totally different than who I am today. If I could choose a time period to live in I would live in the early nineteen fifties. America was in a very successful era. People had money to spend and life was good. There were new things being invented and America had a bright future. I guess a reason that I wish I could have lived in this time period is because it is basically the opposite of what our world is today. In the fifties there were many values present. Families did everything together. They would eat dinner together every night and then watch their new television set together. The idea of optimism and hope was also a value. America was finished with war and on to a bright new future. With my family's busy schedule I don't think we could sit down every night and have a meal together but maybe on Sundays or once a week we could attempt to. As far as the thought of optimism I'm not so sure. I am hopeful of what the future brings but I am nervous if it is going to be a properous one or a failure. I am confident in our national government leaders and trust that they will guide us into a brighter time.

If I ever lives a past life I don't think it would be similar to the one I live now. I would like to think me in my past life was way more interesting. If I had a past life I would like to have been a man or women who lived in France in about the 1950's. My reason for this is because I love French ascents and I think it would be sweet to have one. Another reason is because I think it is beautiful in France and I love to have lived there. There are many values I wish I could have had being this person. On is dressing up all the times and looking nice everyday, people these days don't put effort into themselves. I also wish more people would have class like they did then and respect themselves. I do think I could take on these values. When taking on these values I would only have to care more and put more effort into what I do.

In the movie there past lives were anything similar to how they were now. So no I dont think if I lived a past life it was similar to who I am now. If I could pick a time period to live in it probably would have been the 70's. I say this because things didnt seem as up tight, and there wasnt soo many restrictions. People respected eachother more. There was alot more places to just go and chill. A value i would take on now would be respect. There isnt much of that anymore, and i think its soo important to have respect.

If I lived a past life I dont think I would be the same person at all. Times change every year. People have different beliefs in different times. I dont think I could pick someone that I would want to be. I feel that I would want to be my own person. Like making my own mistakes and learning from them. Or making my own statement in life. Because Im not a follower, I like making my own dicisions. But if I were to plan out how I lived my life, a lot of things would be different. I would make the right decisions, and not mess up the things I have messed up. But I guess you really cant restart like in the movie. But I dont want to restart because the mistakes I have made in my life time has changed me so much. You learn from your mistakes, and thats what makes you who you are today.

Today in the movie, Defending your Life, I found it funny how all the character's past lives were not even close im similarity to the their current lives. I have often pondered who I was if I had a past life. According to the movie, my past life would not be similar to my current life at all. I think that I was probably someone who was killed by medical shots because for some reason I have always been realy frightened of getting shots. I hope that I was someone awesome in my past life. I think it would be so sweet to live in the 50's or around that time period. It would rock if I was Elvis, the undisputed king of rock and overall legend. Not that I want to be a man or anything like that but he was so inspiration and I mean come on IT'S ELVIS! It doesn't get much cooler than that. I wish I could have Elvis's musical talents and he believed in self values like being who you are and never giving up. In most ways I think i could take on his values in this day and age. I would love to be able to perservere through thick and thin like the king had. I probably couldn't take on all his values at such a young age. If all else fails though, I would hope that in my life time prior to being Elvis, I would have been a princess in a huge castle. Back in a time where everything was great because Algebra 2 and Spanish 2 were not invented. Yes, that would be totally amazing.

I can't say for sure that a past life of mine would be based on my expectations and hopes. People change during their lifetimes. I would certainty hope that I was a nice person in my "past life." If I could pick any time period to have lived in, I believe that I would choose to live in the 1970's. I know that this was pretty recent, but at this time, I would have been able to explore the dawn of technology. This was the time when personal computers, the IC, and cheaper electronics started to be made. I wish that I could have seen this time. This time would have been a great place to live in. Very few people had computers, and if I could afford one, I could have gotten ahead of other people. It is harder to take on these things now, but it is still doable. I like what I do, and like the time and place that I am in.

It is kind of hard to answer this question when I do not believe in the whole "past life" issue. If i did have a past life I do not think it was similar to my life now because I would hope that I would have learned from my mistakes of the past and not make them again. I would have LOVED to live in the 30's or 40's, how girls and women dressed was so beautiful and classy, and I loved the cars :) Men and women treated eachother with respect and there were morals. I could take on these values, although times have changed and so has fashion :).

If I lived in a past life I wouldn't expect it to be the same as it is now. In the movie it showed the characters as a total different person than they originally portrayed. If I could pick a time period to live in, it would be the 40's. This is because everyone was more patriotic then they are today. People weren't as worried about themselves either as they are now. Also everyone was more family oriented. They worked hard and there was no room for being lazy. I wish these values were still as important today as they were then. I believe I could take these values on now by showing more dedication to my country and family.
