Another day of "Fiddler on the Roof." I hope you are clearly understanding the purpose of the cultural aspects of the movie and the themes which have been discussing for the entire semester. We will have specific questions based on this later as we come to completion of the movie.

If i were to be stranded on an island the three things i would bring would be a note book so i could keep all my thoughts in so if i were to die someone could find it and read about what i went through ( a pen ofcourse but that doesnt count :) ) i would also bring a pot and rice so i could eat, i would never get sick of rice and its very filling. thatsa tough question because there are SO many things people need to survive and we dont even know it.

If i was stranded on a island i would bring my cell phone and hope i got reception lol. I cant live with out it. 2) I would also bring a friend. I wouldnt want to be all by myself. 3rd i would bring a blanket so i could have something to keep me worm if it got cold at night.

If I was stranded on a desert island, and was only able to bring three things with me, I would bring the following: a good book to read, a knife and two pieces of flint. While, technically, that's four things, the nit-picky mind should be able to overlook that, and if not, then only one piece of flint, not two. Why would I bring these things you may wonder? I would bring them for the general reason of practicality.
The good book would come with me for several reasons. The first reason is that I get bored extremely easily, and my favourite thing to do besides sit on my ass in front of my iMac is to read Star Trek book after Star Trek book after Star Trek book. My books are my company, that's really all I need to be happy. Second, if there's no wood on the island, I would have some amount of paper to start a small fire.
Secondly, my reasons for bringing the knife also revolves around practicality. The knife I would use to strike the flint to start my fire, also, if there are trees, to whittle branches and what-have-you into shelter and tools. The tools I would use to fish, assuming there are fish and I would then, obviously use the knife to dissect it and eat it. If there were no branches, then just stab the fish with a knife and eat it raw. Hey, I like sushi.
Thirdly, I would bring the flint to help make a fire. People need fire to survive emotionally, and I certainly wouldn't want to become suicidally-depressed instead of just extremely depressed. (And if I did want to end it, I would have the knife anyways... Wow... Morbid thoughts...)
Those are my reasons for bringing what I would bring. While I realize, that there are other things that would be immeasurably more helpful, I would need much more time to thing about it, and right now, I need to leave for IKEA... so... yeah...

If I had to pick three things, the first one would have to be my friends/family. I love my friends and family more than I love myself. I would die for any of them. The next thing I would bring would have to be food. You can't survive without food. Last but not least, I would have to bring a textbook so I could continue learning, even on a deserted island!

Well, there are 3 things that I would bring but they are not appropriate for school. So I would bringing a bud to chill with. Things wouldn't be as boring if I had someone to talk to. Second, I would bring some water. Without water we can not live. The last thing I would bring would probally bring is a box of matches. You would need fire to keep warm and to cook things. Fire would also help with getting help so you could get off the island.
There are three specific things that I would bring on an island. One is a lighter to start fires and cook things. Second is a Hunting Knife to make tools and weapons. And Third is a hunting bow because I can use it for hunting and build arrows out of sticks with the knife so I could get food. I is important to only have things that you can use to help you survive. That is why I picked out these three specific things to help me survive

yeah, so, if i was stranded on a desert island, i would only need 2 things, a seaplane, and a pilot's license. but anyway, in the interest of the intent. i would bring a sharp machete, a shotgun with a variety of ammo(because a shotgun and ammo counts as one item), and some good adult magazines, cause i don't want to loose my sanity. as we all know, a machete would serve a great deal of good, being that it offers defense, and working at a butcher shop, i'd imagine i know my way around butchering animals by now. my shotgun with unlimited ammo, would also serve as a system of defense, and i would include flares with it, so i could signal and start fires. and being that i have all the ammo id ever need, i could waste time with it, and kill me some food. and the adult magazines would eep me occupied for a little bit. always looking out for my sanity.

If I were stranded on a secluded island I would bring the things that are vital for survival. One thing I would bring is a bic lighter. I would need it to cook food i find or catch. Another thing I would bring along would be a swiss army knife. Those could be usefull for all sorts of things such as opening bottles with corks (which ir completly irrelevant). But anyways the third item would have to be a solar powered A.T.V. which would be really tight. I would be able to get around the island no problem, and its "eco" friendly!! :)

Secondly i would bring a t.v so i can keep up on society. and lastly i would bring my dog. i would bring my dog so i wouldnt get so lonely and would be able to be with something. But if not a dog a computer so i wouldnt be so bored. that is what i would take with me on a desert island.
Three things that I would bring with my if I was stranded on a desert island would have to be a camel pak with endless supply of water, a golf cart, and a bible. The camel pak because I could probablly find my own food on the whole deserted island, but clean water wouldn't be to easy to find. I wouldn't want to risk cathing anything from the dirty salt water. The golf cart so I could get around the island fast and so I wouldn't have to walk all over the place. Also, it's good entertainment and I could keep myself busy exploring around the isalnd. Lastly, the bible because although I would love to bring friends with me, there is not just one person I would love to have with me because I would love to have all of them there. So as long as I could read my bible and remember that although it seems like no one is by my side, God is really always by my side and he would keep me company. But let's just hope I never get stranded on a deserted island, because I would probablly be needin about 10 suitcases to bring along with me.

If I were stranded on a desert island I would bring my closest friends, a shit load of food and a bed. I would bring my closest friends so that I would have people to talk to. The worst thing you can let happen is to let yourself go crazy. If you have the friends that you can talk to about anything than you may not go crazy with them. The food would keep me from dying and it would keep me satisfied for a long time especially when I learned to make it all last. Lastly the bed would give me a sense of security each night and give me something to go back to at the end of the day. Those three things are what I would bring if I were stranded on a desert island.

If I were stranded on an island I would bring my ipod so it would keep me entertained. I could listen to it and not get bored and it would keep my mind off being stuck there. Secondly I would bring my cell phone. I never go anywhere without my cell phone, and if I had service I could call someone to help me. Third I would bring my best friend. So I would have someone to talk to and we never get tired of each other no matter what. Those are the three things I would bring to a deserted island.

I'm going to go ahead and take the obvious answers. First off, I would need a boat, preferably a yacht to get myself off the island. As I navigate the sea, I could imagine myself getting bored and lonely. So, secondly, I would bring a box of grenades for fishing. With this, I could literally blow them out of the water. Lastly, I would bring a razor. If i go too long without shaving it drives me up the wall.

Wow this is a really good question to put up on here. I would bring a abundance of food (life time supply). The reason i would bring food is because I would have to have somthing to live on right? I would not bring money becuase well your on a deserted island what in heck is there to buy? I would bring the love of my life. The reason i would bring her is becuase I would want someone to talk to and spend time with if i got bored on this island. The third and final thing i would bring would be clothes. The reason I would bring clothes is to keep myself warm in case it was cold there.

First thing would be a infinite amount of food. Second would be Computer+high speed internet. lastly ELECTRICITY. Food so i wouldent go hungery. Computer/internet to keep up on whats goin on in the world. Electricity for the computer and to power a possible house.
Well, if i were stranded on an island the first thing i would bring would be my cell phone. That way i could stay in touch with everyone who wasn't with me. The second thing i would bring would be a basket full of my favorite food cause i wouldnt want to eat any wild food growing on the island. The third thing i would bring would be a pillow and a few blankets because i would not want to sleep on the ground and i wouldnt want to get cold. So These things would help out a lot if i was stranded on a deserted island.
If i stranded on a deserted island, these are the three things i would bring with me. I would bring one of best friends to come and have someone to hang out with. A second thing i would bring would probably be my ipod because i can't live with out music. I could also dance as much as i want. The third and finally thing would probably be a journal to record the way i lived. If anyone was to find it they would know i stayed there. This question was a little hard because, its hard to just choose three things in life. Those would probably be the main things i would bring with me.
If somehow I ended up being stranded on an island, there are many more things then just three I would want to bring. The first thing I would accompany with me would be my Bible. To me, faith comes first and foremost in my life no matter what and is unchanging. To be able to read my bible at all times would provide guidence, peace, and joy. Anything I could possibly ever want or need, the answers are located directly in the Bible for me to seek. Secondly, I would bring a journal to write in day in and day out. Having something to write in would keep me probably from going insane by staying in touch with what's going on and the way I feel. Writing for me personally provides a sense of relief and comfort so this is something I would need with me on the island. Lastly, I would bring with me is flint to make fire with. I would choose to bring flint instead of food or water is because hopefully I would be able to find food and water on the island itself. With the flint I would be able to make a warm fire for myself on a cold night, provide a sense of light, and heat my food.

wow that is a really though choice. i guess the first thing i would bring is someone to keep me company. that way i dont go absolutly crazy. i would probaly also bring something to eat with. i would use these incase there wernt alot of sticks and needed to conserve them. i would also bring an airplane with alot of gas. i dont know about other people but if i got to pick what to bring when i was stranded i would definatly bring something to get off with. to me thats just common sence but some people might take it deeper than that but really to me survival would come first and then i would worry about the rest lter.

if i were stranded on an island i would bring first my clothes. i would want some back up clothes if i were going to be there a long time. then i would bring a ton of food. i wouldn't want to be stranded with out any food. i don't think i could go 2 days without food. the last thing i would bring would be some type of shelter. i would want something to keep me safe from king kong or things like that.
If I was stranded on a deserted island the 1st thing that I would bring with me is my dog. My dog is so sweet. The 2nd thing I would bring with me is a lot of food. I wouldn't be able to last without having food. The 3rd and final thing that I would bring with me is a gun. I could use the gun for protection and for hunting. Those are the 3 things that I would bring if I were stranded on an island.
if i were stranded on an island i would bring the folowing... i would bring a servivle pack because a servivle pack has a bunch of stuff i would need. i would bring a solor powered ipod, so i would have all my music. i would also bring my dog duke for shure be he is the sh_it :D. thoes are the 3 things i would bring because every thing els that i would need i could finde on the island. like food, shelter, and everything els.
If I were stranded on an island, it probably wouldn't be intentionally, therefore the only three things that I would have on me are my cell phone, chapstick, and a wallet with at-that-point useless items.
But, let's say it was an intentional trip and I could choose the things I would bring. Firstly, I would bring a friend along to suffer through the drudgery of living on an island. Secondly, I would take a loaded gun, preferably a rifle of any kind that has burst-fire (hey, I want to conserve my ammunition). Lastly, I would bring a tank of gasoline and a lighter (truly this would be four things, but a lighter hardly counts as a main item to me) so that I wouldn't have to kill time by starting a fire myself.
