Day 3

Here we are at the end of the second cardmarking. Hard to believe that it is happening this fast. I am, overall, pleased with most of the way the class has gone although I would really love to see people put in more of an effort and show what you are truly capable of.

For today, I would like you to discuss your strengths and weaknesses thus far in this class. Also, what are your goals for the next cardmarking both in my class and as a student in general. Give a letter grade goal with ways you plan to make this happen. Lastly, give any constructive feedback as to how the class could be better or my teaching style could help you more. Constructive does not mean take this opportunity to be rude so that people who are reading this will think you are funny or rude. This does not include the comment no more blogging as that will not be happening.

Well i think one of my strengths would be being able to inturpret what we read in class. I also think that my personality helps me do better in the class. My weaknesses would probly be that i talk to much, dont show enough effort, and rush through things a lot just to get them done. For the next cardmarking i WILL get an A. I should of had one this card marking but i messed up on a few things. I also want to do better in Pouliot's class too. All my other classes are easy, except physics but i can do better in that aswell. I think that the class would be better if we could switch sides of the class room when we change seats. I also think that we should do more chalkboard football, because that helps me and my class mates get to know the material better.

P.S. Regarding my blog last night, Mr pouliot also said that u should be faithful to your spouse. Once you Say i do you are saying i don't to everyone else".

One of my strengths in this class would be that I like to read a lot. In this class we have read some books, and I know were going to read more. In result of my likeing to read books, I think that it helps me in the class. Also, I have a good memory, which helps me remember certain things such as vocabulary words. A weakness that I have in this class, is that I don't really understand grammer very well. One of my goals for this next cardmarking would be, to get all A's. I almost got a 4.0 on my first cardmarking, so I am going to strive to get a 4.0 this cardmarking. In this class I am going to work hard to get an A and I am going to work on my grammer skills. I think the class would be better if we did more projects with groups. I think that being able to work with people is a good skill to have. For the most part however, I really like the class.

Well, over all, I think that I have done pretty well in Mr. Kay’s class. I love reading and I have strength in understanding the core concepts of novels or just stories we read in class. I have to admit that blogging is really not that bad. In AP we wrote twice as much, so I like how I can still get in that practice I need for writing. On the other hand, I really need to make sure that I stay strong with the vocabulary. I do well with it, but one slip can make a difference. I defiantly want to read the next novel fully through. I always skip a few pages so I can get the gust of the novel, but the last one wasn’t that bad, so maybe the next one will be good too. I really want to get better in writing! I feel like I can ramble on for hours and just repeat what I say over and over. So, improving on the writing and making sure that I keep up in the class would be a goal of mine. In all my other classes I am doing well right now. Some classes are staying at A’s and are not that complicated. Yet, some are challenging and I need to make sure that I keep working hard at achieving a high grade. I defiantly would like to have all A’s but if a get a couple B’s I can be okay with that. At this point, I like our lit class. I do not like group projects and I feel like I always get screwed because of them. So, I think if we had anymore projects I would like them to be individual projects. All together, I really want this term to be fun and challenging at the same time. I know I will try my best and make sure that I don’t slack off when I know I shouldn’t.

I have found many flaws in this class yet i have some strengths. One of my strengths that i have noticed this pass year is the fact that i have been doing very well on a big portion of the class which is blogging and vocab. I have been doing my amount required in blogging with no problems. I have also been constantly studying my words given to me for vocab and am getting no less than 18 out of 20 on each quiz. Aside from these, i do carry my flaws. These being not finishing handouts or assignments gaven to me. Other flaws are small things that turn into important things in the long run such as taking notes and paying attention to information gaven. Moving on now, i plan on really pushing myself giving not only myself but my parents proud. Im real tired of not reaching the level of success that i should really be at. With that in mind, i plan on getting nothing less a b-. I wish to keep my blog and quiz grades going, but would like to see myself really focus and do my job for the time im at school and after. To complete all assignments and projects would help my grade tremendously compared to last terms. Right now, i do have alot of fun in the class and am happy to have a good group of friends in there. Honestly lit has never been my favorite class but it does make up for haveing a cool teacher ha. Some of the things that i do find hard which is not the first time you have heard me bitching about this but i seem to fall behind when we start assignment and next thing i know we got another asignment asigned. Its realy hard for me to give constructive feedback when im not exactly doing well in this class so im not really sure.

Oh ya and last thing, im going to start a no blog petition so if interested you can sign it. hahahahah just kiddin.

I think that one of my strengths in this class is the vocab. Im doing alot better on the vocab this year then i did last year. I can under stand the reading pretty well too. My weaknesses in the clas would probably be writing papers and the grammer. I dont do to good on grammer and im not verry good at writing essays either. My goals for this card marking is to do better on the grammer. I would like to be a good student too. I would like to atleast get a b. I think i can maybe get a higher grade if i really try so i will try my hardest this cardmarking. I think that if we have any more projects then they should be partner projects.

I have always had problems in my language arts classes. I seem to always do really good in all my classes except language arts. I think that the reason it has been this way is because I do not understand any of the material very well. I think the reason for this is that I am not a big fan of literature so I avoid it sometimes. However, I am a good reader. Last year I completely bombed all of the vocabulary quizes and could never do good on them. The beggining of this year I wasnt doing so good on the vocabulary quizes either, so I started studying them alot more and now I get an A on nearly all of them. My plan is to get a B in this class on this cardmarking. I think that to make the class better we should have time to work with each other more. Some people in the class understand the material alot more than other people do, so i think it would be beneficial to have our peers helping us. Everybody complains about the blogging, but I dont think its that bad, most of the time we dont have other homework anyway. Overall I havent done as well as I think I can in this class and I am going to try to do alot better and change everything around.

One of my strengths in this class is that I can memorize certain things easily, like the vocabulary words. One of my weaknesses would be that it's hard for my to pay attention while we read. My goals for next marking period are to get all A's and B's. My goal in your class for next marking period is to start putting all my effort into our projects and homework. I actually think bloging helps my writing skills and I think it has benefited me. As much as I dread coming home and having to blog, it does help. It would help if you gave us more time in class to do projects like if we have to make a poster or anything like that, I'm not saying spend a couple days on it, just more than one class period would be nice.

Some of my strengths in this class is that I actually like some of the work we do. I can stay focused easy because of the environment i'm in. A weakness I have is that I don't always do everything 100%. My goals this next cardmarking is to get a better grade in this class and be overall more organized with my school work as a student. I would like to get a B in this class and keep it that way. My feedback to you is easy, keep doing what you do. I say this because this class is by far my favorite English class I have ever had. Most teachers are boring and make it hard to have fun learning things. The way you teach is fun and makes me feal more like an adult than a child.

Overall, i think ive done really crappy in your class. I know i cna do better because ive never done even close to bad in any of my classes. My weakness that caused this is that i like to think that i can do no wrong(who dosnt) that no matter what i do, it will either all work out or be an easy fix. Because of this i tend to blow things off, or to ignore problems that should be addressed immediatly. My strength is that im really smart and a really fast learner. i can pick up on things and remember them really well. and most of the stuff we learn, i feel like i already know because of common sence and logic. Its kinda funny to me because i excell in the things that i find challenging, but i tend to slack in the things taht are easy for me. Next card marking, i have to get an A. this one, i didnt do so hot, and i need to greatly make up for that.

One thing that i think could greatly improove the class would be more group work. At career day, both of the groups i saw said that they would have loved to have learned to work in a group better in school. Its also important because it really pushes some unmotivated students to try harder when somebody elses grade is on the line. This could help them realize that its worth it to strive for success. Also, group projects allow us to help eachother, rather than us constnatly looking to adults to solve an issue. The skills taught through group work: like communication, problem solving, independance (in that we arent looking to adults for help) ect., are really benificial to us later on in life.

One of my strenghts is that I'm a good reader and I like to read. I can read fast and still understand and remember what is going on in the book or whatever we are reading. My weakness in class would be my short attention span. When things start to get boring I start to lose focus and I know I shouldn't do that. My goals for this marking period is to keep up studying for vocab and grammer quizes like I do, and to study harder and better for World History. I want to get A's in both classes. I like when we do fun projects as a class and individualy. Sometimes we seem to do differnt lessons a few days in a week and we repeat the same thing in all three days. This can get boring sometimes. Also I like having blogs that don't require super hard thinking and are a fun topic.

I believe my strength for your class is that I really do try for good grades. I find vocabulary quizes very easy so that deffiantly helps. My weaknesses are that I do try, yet I know I don't give all that I'm capable of. I end up giving like 99%. My goals for the marking period is to get straight A's and get my GPA up. My plan is to study even harder than I was. I will also instead of memorizing stuff to get me through the test/quiz, I will actually learn it. I think your teaching style is good for me. I like being told only the need to knows instead of hearing a lot of irrelavent stuff added in. I guess you could try makeing it more clear that work is due the next day.

well i think i have more weeknesses in your class that i so strengths. some of my weeknesses would be actually reading what we are reading in class. i absoultly hate reading.another one would be talking. I think i talk way to much and i can get distracted very easly. some of my strengths would be listening to you when you are talking. I think we you guys switched students acrossed the room and like mixted us all around i think it might work better. Or if we traded sides of the room for once.

I think my strengths in your class are, that I keep up with all the work and don't fall behind, I also can understand what we read as we go along. My weaknesses are the grammar, even when I study I seem to not get it, and I would really like to work on that. My goals all together are to put more effort into studying for tests. Another goal is in history I am going to read the chapter a few times so I can do better on tests. All together though I just want to put more effort into everything I do, cause I know I could be doing better. And there is nothing I can think of to change in your class. As a whole I like it and I like how even though it can be challenging at times, I know it will prepare us for after high school.

So far in this class I definitely feel like I have improved. My strengths in this class would definitely be vocab. Another strength I have are doing the worksheets, I feel I do very well on them, because I understand what we are reading. My weak point would have to be grammar, and certain group projects. I do very well in groups when we are aloud to pick the people we work with. However, when we are assigned group members, it's what I don't like. I feel like when we are assigned group members, not every will pull their own weight, they slack off, and then it effects in my grade, and I feel that isn't right because I actual did my part, as well as theirs. That's the really only thing that I would like to change. Don't get me wrong, I like group projects, I just wish that we'd be able to work with people we chose, even though some people may not work, but I definitely would. This term I received an A- in your class. I was very pleased with it. Especially because on our last blog about grades, I told myself i wanted that, and I worked for it. This term I would like to keep my grade at an A-, and maybe even get an A. As a student in general I feel i did very well this term, my lowest grade was a B+. even though I received the grades I wanted, I'm still going to work hard to improve.

So far in your class one of my strenghts is vocab. Some of my weaknesses are blogging because I always forget. Also reading projects and worksheets are hard for me because I have difficulties understanding whats going on in the readings. A goal of mine for this cardmarking is to do every single blog and to get at least A-'s on most of my vocab tests. I want to get an A this term. I will achieve this by doing all my work and passing all my tests. I think this class could be better if we had more time to work in class. Also if we changed seats more often.

Well so far i have been disapointed with my performance in your class. First term i had a C but then last term i think i had a D. Mainly not doing my work has really screwed me terribly and i have been failing myself because i have high expectations. For this new term i WILL get a B or higher. I think i do great on the Vocab and grammer quizes so to get the grade i want i will put all my effort into my homework and any project we do. Like i said in one of my blogs a couple of weeks ago, if you see my grade start to slip please smack me upside the head please. I am very blind when it comes to my schoolwork, i rarely look at my grades online which is a major flaw because i never know where i stand in class. To be honest a lot of people may hate you mr.kay but i believe that you are one of the best teachers ive ever had because you keep me intrested in class and i the only thing that is predictable about you so far is that you can teach your ass off. you are one hell of a teacher mr.kay so keep doin what you are doing.

My strengths in your class would be that I am usually able to concentrate. I can get my work done and usually do it right. There are many things in your class I need to work on. In my other classes I just do the work and turn it in and thats usually the end of it. But in your class, we get surprise quizzes so we actually need to know the stuff. Grammar is another thing I could work on. I dont write any of the stuff down on Tuesdays and when it comes to Friday, I forgot everything we talked about on Tuesday. This card marking I want to get an A- or A in your class. Ive gotten B+'s the last two times so this time I want an A. To help the class o better, I think you should tell us at least a day before when an assignment is due. For example, you gave us a worksheet before break I think it. Then today, having never said anything when we got back from break, you told us it was due at the end of the hour. Thats pretty much all the constructive feeedback I have.

I think my main strength in this class is memorization. For me it's easy to take apart the word and find an easier way to remember it. This helps alot on grammer and vocab quizzes. My biggest weakness is homework. Not just this class, but in all. I don't have the urge to go home and start on school work when I've already been doing it for hours. My goals for the next cardmarking is to achieve an A. Anything lower is not acceptable for me and I need to stop letting it happen. I would like to have extra time in class to work on things, therefore less homework.

My strengths in class are that I am able to pay attention and comprehend things easily, and a quick reader. My weakness would be that I get lazy and don't do the homework out side of school. My goal is to get at least a B in every single one of my classes. I want to get my gpa up and so far I am not doing a good enough job. In order to do this, I will have to study more and do the homework. I have to put in that extra effort. I don't really have a problem with the teaching style that you have. I don't really know how you can do a better job. I guess right now it can get a little boring at times, but other than that, I don't have any complaints.

My strengths so far in your class are turning in assignments on time. I know you said that that was the biggest reason why peoples grades were low, so im proud for doing that. Another strength is that I show quality in my work. I understand that you honestly give the grade someone deserves, and it shown in the quality and effort one puts into their work. A weakness I have is with the grammer section on vocab tests. I was doing good on them earlier in the year and I will admit to not studying as much as I use to. Another weakness is that im not consistant. I know I am capable of receiving an A in your class, although I fall short which is a sign of a lack of consistancy. With that said, my goals are to try and get the most points possible on assignments or tests all the way through this cardmarking. I plan on finally getting an A in your class, which is going to require me to study for tests and quizes. Some constructive critisism is that you give time to teach and review grammer. Even though you say its something that should be done on our own time, I believe if you gave the time to go over some worksheets and help us understand better, you will see some fantastic results. This will also benefit us for the ACT and your final exam, which both are going to be a bitch, so you need to help clear things up.

My greatest strength in this class would have to be reading comprehension. I read a lot, so when we read in class, it is easier for me to understand the reading and to answer questions along with it. Another strength is the vocab and grammar, because for me, all the practice from last year has really helped. One of my weaknesses in this class is writing. For one, I hate to write stories and essays, and I have never been very good at it. I have improved, but I still find it very difficult to write. The blogs help, and I don't mind this kind of writing. My hope for my grade in this class is to be in the A range. I plan to achieve this grade by staying on task, and making sure I do all my work with all my effort. Some constructive criticism for this class is to give a more helpful response on our writing/essays so we know what to do to improve our writing skills. Because I have trouble writing essays, it would be great to prepare for the ACT essay, because I did not do well on that part of the practice ACT.

My strengths in this class is vocabulary, blogs (which I don't mind doing), and handing work in on time. Some of my weaknesses are: group projects- these are not my favorite even though I do give them all of my effort, essays- writing is an art and I have some difficulties getting my ideas on paper, and grammar. The last two card markings I have received b+'s and I know that I am very capable of getting an A. It's those loss of points here and there that really hurt. I did pretty good this card marking 4 A's and 2 B+'s so I need to step it up a notch. Our junior grades mean a lot when we are applying to get into college. Mr Kay, I enjoy your teaching style and we definitely learn in your class. Your style allow's a little fun in the class room and we still learn a lot. One thing that I thing would help would be going over the grammar a little bit more during class. Learning what we did wrong before our quiz.

For my strengths in class, i think reading and focusing in class is a strength of mine. I also think i do a good job of not interupting in the middle of class time. But for the most part in literature, i havent been very hard working as far as doing all my work. One of the biggest reasons my grade hasnt been high is the blogs that i dont do during the week. not just the blogs, but i have been kinda lazy with showing my true potential in class work and homework. And thats what my main goals are for the rest of the year, Finish all blogs on time, not have one missing assignment, and the grade id like for this term would be a high B or id really love to have a A on this term. I know im totally capable of doing this and my previous grades dont reflect what capability's i have for school. And i also know Mr. pouliot's class is not hard to get an A in. We hardly have HW, and if we do, its usually not hard, and usually fun. Plus, i like chalkboard football, it really helps me remember alot of the important terms on tests.

One of my strenghts that I have in your class are that I can understand the concepts of what we are reading in class. Another strength is that I can easily stay on task and am self motivated. A weakness that I have is that I sometimes get off task when I should be working on something. In the next semester I plan on getting at least a B or better. I plan on doing this by putting more effort into the projects. Also I could improve my grade by rereading Oedipus if I am not understanding something. An improvement that I have made is that I am study a lot more for the vocabulary tests. Besides that I am really enjoying your class and your teaching method. I like the way you teach because it keeps me interested in class. I especially like your example sentences for the vocab words on tuesday.

Overall i believe last card-marking i slacked and i am capable of doing much better. My strengths thus far in the class are projects and working with other people. My weakness thus far is quizzing and testing. I believe if i can improve all that then i'm sure i can get a B+ or higher. My letter grade goal for this card-marking is going to be a B+ or higher. My goals as a student is to be on task 80% of the time. Another one of my weakness is not paying attention and not following the correct directions. I believe this is my top goal on the student list because i think thats another thing holding me back from being a above average student. Lastly to help me personally i would like to know in advance when were are having a reading quiz not just pop it on us whenever you feel, because sometimes it seems you get frustrated and feel the need to punish us with a quiz and its only hurting us.

I think my biggest strength in your class is that i enjoy what we do in class. Because i'm enjoying the lass i think the work seems easier, or less annoying and i understand it more. my weakness is grammar! i've always hated grammar, especially what were doing right now. in your class i want to understand grammar instead of really just kind of guessing on a lot of questions. i want to get an A as well. my biggest goal would be getting an A in anatomy. that is by far my hardest class and my lowest grade this marking period. i know that i could have done better if i would have studied more, but i learned! i like your teaching style and i don't really have much to say except i hate group projects! i know that you'll keep giving them but maybe they wouldn't be so bad if you could grade a little more separately then completely together.

I have had both strengths and weakness in this class. My strenghts are that I am able to pay attention during class time and I can understand, most of the time, what we are doing. A weakness would be that I don't always do good on the vocab test, grammer part. I think this is because I don't study the grammer as much as the vocab. My goals for next cardmarking are similar to what they were before. I am hoping to keep a C or higher in algebra 2, which I have been doing, for the rest of the year. I am planning to study more for all my tests, so I can get better grades. I prefer that if we do anymore projects they only be in small groups 1 or 2 people or individual. I found that I always work better when they're are less people around to distract me.

My strengths in this class would have to be my creativity, and my reading skill. Since I am an avid reader I can understand most of the stuff we read. My creativity helps me to come up with ideas for essays sometimes. My weaknesses would have to be my slow handwriting, and the fact that I havent been studying for some of the tests and quizes. I plan to try and study more for tests and quizes. I want to do my best to at least get a B or, at most, an A-. As an overrall student I think I can do better in some of my classes. One thing that would help me in class would be if you, Mr. Kay, didnt always tell me to speak up if I'm speaking in front of the class. I know you mean well, but when you tell me to speak up then make a joke about it it just makes me more nervous. I hope you take that into consideration. Thank you.

I accually like the way this class is. I think one of our strengths is that no one is really shy. I think when i have to get up infornt of the class which we rarley do, but for like our god projects and stuff im a lot less nervous becasue im not scared to mess up and be critisised. I think that im accually doing good in this class. some weeknesses are that i talk alot but i do that in every class so no biggy. another weekness is that some people are disrespectfull, i can be one of them, i know this. I think we shold mix up the class so it isnt so seperated. my goal is to work on my grammer tests cause i mess up on them. another goal is to not get stupid points marked off cause in the end every point matters. personally i like blogs because they arnt hard and as long as you do them they are a good grade boost:)

My strength in class is that im really good at vocab and getting my homework done one time. But I have a lot of weaknesses in class: I dont talk a lot, I forget to blog, I have trouble sometimes interpreting the reading material, and just my general study skills. My goals for this carmarking are to improve on my writing, and study abilities; last semester my writing skills really brought me down on the mythology paper. This semester I will work my ass off to get an A in the class. Some constructive criticism im offering is to not have as many consequences for not blogging. Like how we lose points and get a detention, i could understand not getting the points but the detention is a little too much.

Thus far in class, i feel that my strengths are getting all the homework and the tasks complete and turned in on time. Also, another strength i have is paying attension in class and staying focused. A weakness that i have is getting good grades on the grammar quizzes. Every week i try to at least get a hundred percent but somehow get lower than that and it is frustrating. For the next card marking my goal is to maintain a good grade in your class. I would prefer to get an A or A-. To do this, i will study waay more for the vocab and grammar quizzes and tests. Some of my feedback to you, is when we read a story of any kind to not give us questions to go with them. I feel that i concentrate and understand the material way more if i just read it, rather than having to focus all of my time answering the questions.

Katrina said...

I think that one of my strengths would be that i tent to understand the material fairly easily. Also, if i dont understand something i'll usually make sure i understand it. One of my weaknesses would be that i hate doing the work. However, this year is all about my grades and so i will be doing all the work anyways. My grade goal for this term would be an A instead of an A-. The way to acheive this is pretty obvious. Making sure i do all my work and studying for all tests. As far as improving the class i would say less blogging. However, i know thats not going to happen.

I think my strengths and weaknesses in your class have mostly to do with comitment. As much as I try to stay commited to getting my work done I always tend to drift away from that. My goals for this cardmarking are to get my shit done and do it rihgt, I know I've said this so much in the past but this time I really do mean it. I need to start acoplishing my goals for if I dont I am going know where in life. This goes for all of my classes but mostly yours because you are the person whom I repsect the most. If you could please help me stay on track and make sure that I have my work done I would greatly appreciate it, you seem to be a very wise person and have your act together and I would like to follow the same way. In my classes I would like to try to acheive all A's and B's, but that might be a little hard, I know I am capable of it as long as I stay on track with my school work. I myself do not really like the team teaching atmosphere, because it allows for far more distractions with the vast number of people in one room. Also I would help if you put things in the computer faster so I can see where I am at and get it fixed if it bad and tell us when something is due prior to just saying get this out and turn it in. But for the most part I really do enjoy your class and respect you as a person more than you know.

My strengths in this class are always having my blogs done on time and doing well on the vocab and grammar quizzes. My weaknesses are that I have a hard time paying attention when we're reading and I don't volunteer in class a lot because of it. My goals for the next cardmarking are to not procrastinate and try to manage my time wisely. I also need to work on doing things even when I really don't feel like it and paying better attention in class. My letter grade goal is an A and I can make this happen by doing what I am doing now but not rushing to get it done at the last second. I don't really have any constructive criticism other than that we should have group projects but not like the survival one. We did have a lot of time to work on it but it was after we were already done with it and it was so spaced out that a lot of people forgot about it and people got screwed on the group grade. Another thing we should do is not have it divided into a 2nd and 3rd hour group but we should all be mixed in together. I really like this class though and it is a lot different than most other language arts classes which i really like.

Some of my strengths are that I am a pretty good writer and know important terms and how to use sentences. Some of my weaknesses are that I don't always remember or second guess myself when making decisions or recalling facts. I am also very easily distracted. My goal is to get an a and I can get there by doing blogs on time and paying attention in class. I don't think a lot of people realize how fun this team class is compared to other classes. I understand this because I came from another class that was very boring and I wouldn't change a thing. I really like how this class is now and the only constructive criticism I have is that maybe you could try to get more kids involved in class and make more reenactments like we do in history.

I bbelive my strengths in this class are vocab quiizzes and getting all my work completed. I do all of my work, and igenereally get 100% on the vocab portion. My weaknesses are grammar and projects. So far all the points that i have lost are from both of these. I think my grade is good because i am working very hard. Next cardmarking i would like to maintain all A's in every class. I will keep wprkling hard and should accomplish this. I feel that your class is very challenging. I enjoy it, but also think that we should do more follow up on the grammar and go over more problems closer to the quiz for reminders. I feel this will give us all some more confidence going into the quizzes on friday.

I think my strengths in this class is how well I've done on the vocab and grammar tests, and how well I read. I think another strength is my drive to stay on the wrestling team. My weaknesses are my disorganization and my laziness. My goals during this marking period is to turn in all my work, so that I can continue to wrestle. I want to do the best I can. Honestly, I think this class is really boring. Its really easy to get tired in English class. I think the stories we have read so far are really interesting, but they are too short.

My strengths in class would be that i can understand what the teacher is saying, and apply what they're teaching me to my homework. Another strength would be that I have gotten every assignment in ontime, except for a couple. My weakness would be that I dont put the same amount of effort into every class, and that i can't understand what some of the people are saying in the story were currently reading. A big weakness that I have applies to all my classes, its that i tend to procrastinate my homework, until i need it, and i procrastinate studying. As the term and year goes on though, i get myself more and more organized, and I learn more of what the teacher wants and is looking for. My goals for the next cardmarking are to get at least three A's. And to keep them up while Im doing swim because i have never had A's while doing a sport, and if i succeed at this goal, it'll show me that its possible. I think when we do seat changes or just seating in general, the two classes should be inter mixed on both sides of the two class rooms.

Basically, my strengths are my weaknesses, and mt weaknesses are my strengths. One day, I'll be on top of everything, and I'll get everything done. The next day, I couldn't give a shit about doing anything in school. I need to have a better attitude, and just do my work, all the time. Hopefully, the rest of the year, I want to maintain atleast a C, but I'd love to shoot for a B. Thinking about it, I really don't have any criticism about the class. I learn well in the large class, and not in it. It doesn't matter. I like you, and Mr. Pouliot as teachers because you relate to us kids easier. Which, makes the class easier to deal with. I like going to the class with a teacher that will tease the kids, and swear in the class. It makes being in class more fun. And, more like the real world.

Well honestly I have a lot of weaknesses in this class. Its just not my strongest area. Im definitely not a good writer, though I think I am improving as the time goes on. My strengths would probably be understanding the literature that we read. Even though sometimes I dont understand it all, I get most of it. I dont think I can give a letter grade. I just hope I keep improving as the time goes on, and I know I have been putting more effort into the class. So with putting more effort in, my letter grade should go up and up. I know that if I keep going the rate im going I will do ten times better than in the beginning of the year. I dont think you should change your teaching methods at all. I think the way you teach is good, like helping us understand the literature. Im not sucking up at all, I just think that nothing really needs to change. Lastly, I may not always like the blogs but in the end I think it helps all of us become much better writers than we were before. If anything maybe just not as many blogs. But thats just my opinion.

One of my strengths is that I always am able to get my work done somehow. I can also interpret what we are reading right now and I can understand it. Overall, while i do not like ELA very much, I am pretty good at it. My goal for this cardmarking is to maintain my A in the class. This is the same thing I say every time. However, I want to strive to participate more in class. I am very tired 2nd and 3rd hour but I guess that's life. A bit of constructive criticism is only that I don't think there should be any useless busy work. The questions for Oedipus are an example. Not to brag, but for someone like me who pays attention and understand the story, I feel like it's repetitive and I don't get anything out of them. I already know the answers so why should I have to keep putting them on paper. It's just busy work for me. Maybe something you could do, is the people who score low on the quizes only have to do them. It would be just like the vocab quizes.

My strengths this far in class are listening and staying focused during class. I am doing better at studying, and I think I have been doing a lot better on my vocabulary and grammar tests as a result. I think one of my weaknesses in class so far is that I am not good at working on worksheets while reading. I'm trying to work on being better at multi-tasking. My goal this cardmarking is to continue to do just as well in school while still being able to keep up with poms and my NHS hours I still have to complete. My goal is to get an A again this cardmarking. I think that if I continue the hard work I have been putting into the class, I should be able to continue getting an A. I like how the class is taught and I don't really have any constructive feedback. I think class is fun and I learn a lot while I am in there; it pushes me to think mcuh more than some of my other classes.

I honestly don’t believe I have a strength in this class yet. I am actually starting to try harder. One thing that prevents me from doing well in this class is my laziness. I really do wish I wasn’t as lazy as I am. That would be my biggest weakness. My goal for this term is to get a C or better. I no I can do a lot better in all my other classes but I seem to struggle in this class. I will be happy with anything above a C. I believe this class could be better if we start doing different stuff. I don’t like how we do the same thing everyday. It gets boring doing the same stuff day to day. I believe this lack of variety makes me lazier as a student.

I think i'm fairly good at doing my homework and turning it in on time, but i really struggle with tests. I hate studying and i can't memorize things very easily. My goals are to start paying more attention in class, and keeping my mouth shut when its suppost to be. Because i've always struggled with that. I'm hoping for a b or a c+. its not the highest grade but its a lot better than the E i got last card marking. I can achieve this by turning in ALL my assignments, doing ALL my blogs, and studying harder for my grammar quizes because i'm not doing so great in that area.

my stenght wouldbe the i do good on the vocab quizes. my weaknesses would be i hate reading writtig and i hate the team setting and i hate your stupid humor. For the next card marking i will get a D. I should of had one this card marking but i dont know what happened. At this point i know i hate lit. and im never goning to pass it.

Well I know that i have many weakness's in this class. Like understanding the reading we are currently working on. And I am terrible at writting. I know i have something good to say when I have to write, but it seems like when I put a pencil in my hand my ideas float away. Writting is something i deffinatly want to improve on. One of my strengths would be staying connected to the topic. As a teacher you talk about really good topics. they usually always relate to everyday issues, which keeps me intrested. My goalfor this term is to keep trying hard and to actually study for my test and do better then i have. I honestly dont think that you can change the way you are teaching, because i dont know how i would teach it, you know better then me. And also i think that the only person that needs to change is me. Im the one not taking full responsability for my school work and in order to do so i have to commt myself to my school work and then maybe things will start to change.

So far I believe that my strengths in this class are that im just a good writer, and it is easy to get all the work done and in on time. We barely ever have homework besides blogging, but that just gives your grade a boost. A weakness that I guess I have is procrastination. I always wait too long to start things, but I'm starting to change that. I also hate reading. My goals for next card marking are to basically just keep doing what I have been doing, but staying focused and on track. Next term I need to get an A in your class. That is just what I expect out of myself because I know I have done it before. As far as any suggestions, none really. Just would be cool if we could read more interesting stories not Oedipus.

I haveany strengths, as well as weaknesses. First off, I am an extremely good reader. I read quickly, and am able to interperet the meaning of things extremely well. However, I also procrastinate a lot, which i why I am doing this blog at 9:40 at night. Also, I am a very strong writer. I have good sentence structures and typically my paragraphs flow very well. As I have previously stated, I just want to do as good as I possibly can. My procrastination is certainly not helping with this. For this cardmarking, and in fact for the rest of the year, I would like to have all "A's" but at the very least to have nothing below a "b". I am just goingto have to crack down and do my homework ASAP. Thats really the problem. Its not so much that I dont understand material, as it is that I dont do my homework. As far as constructve critism goes, I really dont have much to say. I typically just flow with however the class works. I suppose the only thing I can say is that I am not a huge fan of doing projects so it would be nice if we could cut back on those, but I do understnad the importance of them.

My weaknesses in this class are spelling, writing papers, and grammar. I feel I have some insightful ideas that I brinf to class. A goal for this card marking is to not have my grades slump like they usually do during this time of year. Another is to have all my grades high so it looks good for colleges. My third goal is to decide on what I will study in college and which one I am going to. My letter grade goal would be an A or an –A. I will study harder for my vocab and grammar test. I think that you are a good teacher, so you do not need to change a thing.

I feel like I didn't pay attention as much.I also feel like I did not apply myself like I should have. I do however feel like I showed my best was on some subjects that interested me.I really don't like the readying because its hard for me to understand what is going on.A style that would help me would just be subjects that interests me.I believe I can work on all of this and apply myself to subjects that don't interest me.I want to try to get around a b this cardmarking.

I think my strengths in your class would be I am able to mostly understand your lessons and what you are trying to teach us. I think lit is one of my stronger subjects as far as my classes go. However the problem with me is i don't really try that hard. I'm honestly very lazy and procrastinate a lot. My goals for next card marking would be do more with the work I turn in. Not just get it done but actually put forth effort and make it something I am proud of.I think I can do this by taking my time with my work, and not just rushing to finish. Honestly if i tried really hard I think i could end up with a B or A. I really have learned to love your teaching styles, and at the moment I do not have any constructive criticism because the class schedule works for me.

My strengths in your class are vocab im getting alot better at that, and blogging. My weaknesses in your class would probably be the reading part. and understanding whats going on when we read out of the book. I hate reading soo thats most likely why i have a hard time understanding whats going on.I would like to be a B in your class this term. Something i would have to do is pay more attention, and complete my homework. And actually try my hardest! To be honest, i have had you for two years now, i think your teaching methods are great. Your getting us ready for college, and its probably going to help us alot!

My strengths in this class is probably writing papers. I normally do pretty good on writing papers even though i hate doing it. The weakness i have in this class is only reading a certain thing once. I think if i were to read it twice i would get more out of it and therefore do overall. My goals for this next card-marking is to become more active in discussions and put more of my input towards the class. I plan on maintaining a B in this class. Lastly i would like you to have us do more interactive hands on stuff. I like doing these activities in-class because it keeps my awake and it helps me understand better.

I think that my strengths are that i am very focused when i am working. I turn in all my homework when assigned and do a decent job. Also, i usually study for vovab quizzes pretty well. As far as weaknesses go i think i sometimes am not very motivated. I am tired a lot and dont feel like working. This next cardmarking i would like to do better. I think my goal would be to get at least an A- in the class. AS far as feedback i think mostly everything is pretty good. You do a pretty good job of teaching to me so alls good.

I think that my strengths in this class are the vocab quizzes and I love the reading. For next cardmarking I would like to do better on the grammar part of the vocab/grammar quizzes this part actually brought my grade down a bit more than I expected it would. I plan to receive an A grade in this class. Overall, I am very pleased with how the class is taught. I do miss doing group work though. I like the fact that it is not all just projects. I like that we read literature as a class as well.

I think my strengths in the classes would be lectures. I also think that my personality helps me achieve better in the class. My weaknesses would most likely be i don't show enough effort, and i rush through things just to get them done and over with. Next card marking i am greatly determined to get an A. I could have had one this card marking but i missed too many blogs. I also could have had an A in Mr. Pouliot's class to if i had done better on my tests and done better on my outlines. All my other classes i don't have a problem with except for physics. That class is very challenging, but i think i can get an A in that class as well. I think we should play more chalkboard football that way it is easier to learn the material.

I believe that my strengths in this class are persistence, listening skills, and grammar skills. Some of my weaknesses in this class are having a hard time interpreting what I read, and having a hard time grasping onto new concepts. Some of my goals in class include doing very well on my vocab tests, and getting very good grades on other things as well. In other classes (Math and Science specifically) I want to be able to better understand concepts that are presented to me. I would like to get an 'A' in this class. I will have to try extremely hard to understand some of the new literature, but I think that I can do it by studying hard. At this moment, I can't think of anything that I would want changed in our class. Wooh!

well, i dont have many strengths in the class that i can think of. I do pay attention, and listen to what your saying and try my best not to get distracted. I have a hard time focusing but i try to concentrate.Im doing pretty good doing all my assignments and turning them in on time. Im starting to do better at vocab and grammer because i really have to study them more than right before the quiz. Also, im doing good at remembering to blogg, and getting all the points for them. As far as weaknesses go, i have wy more than my few strengths. Like i said i have a really hard time focusing, and concentrating on 1 thing at a time. I am horrible at taking test so any type of tests brings my grade down. I dont like reading, and never have,so now its harder for me to comprehend things when i read, i literally have to read things like 10 times to really understand it completely. I hate being in front of a large class, and speeches, it hasnt been bad so far though. I think that this class is difficult and i just need to put more effort into what i do. We dont get much homework so i need to more studying and things. I get really really bored in the 2 classes, so i think we need to different things and not the same thing everyday. It makes it harder to concentrate and me less likely to focus. I would like to definitly to do better than this past cardmarking, it was bad for this class as well as my others, oh god... its going to be a bad report card. I would like to get a B in your class, and i think i can acheive it if i just work to my ability and put in a little more effort. The teaching style is cool, i like how its laid back and you make things funny, so its not as boring. The class is hard but im gunna work harder so i can do better.

One one of my strengths in this class is my passion for reading. One of my weaknesses is losing focus too easily. My goals for next card marking is to work up to my aparent ability, and trying harder to do what I know I can. The letter grade I would like to have is an A-. This grade is not hard for me to obtain, I just have to suffer for past neglections and work my ass off twice as hard to get my grade up. I like the teaching styles of this class, there is nothing hard or uninteresting about it. I do not like blogging, only because it is hard to get to a computer because my mom is literally never home and we had to get rid of our computer.

i think my strengths would be that i like having a bigger group of ppl. this is also my weakness because i dont like getting up in front of ppl and giving speaches or things like that. which luckly we dont do alot in this calss. my goals for next crad marking is to keep up my good grades and get up the others that are not good. including this class. i think that you could work on the due dates of assigenments, having them a reasonable time lenght and when you collect them and then graading them sooner. i also think we should do more group work. but over all i like the class its interseting!
