Day 23

Well it seems that we already did the blog I posted earlier so here is another for this evening:

"You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough."
Frank Crane

Relate this quote both to you and your life as well as to one character in the book. Make sure you give a specific example from the story that relates to the quote and the character.

The quote, "You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough," by Frank Crane, relates in the Lord of the Flies and in reality. People are afraid to trust others because they don't know if they are trustworthy. If you don't tell anyone anything, then it will torment you because you don't trust enough. I can relate to this because I have trust issues. I will tell people secrets if they aren't a big deal but usually I keep my issues to myslef. At times, this can drive me crazy. Sometimes I really wish I could trust more people so I would'nt have to hold everything in. I have a Best friend who I tell mostly everything to, because I know I can trust her. Simon is kind of like that to. Besides the fact that I'm very outgoing, Simon still feels that he can't trust anyone on the island because he is afraid of what they will say. He keeps to himself and when he finally says something, it can backfire. This quote is basically saying that it isn't always good trusting to much, or too less, so the answer is right in between.

This quote by Frank Crane is very accurate because when you think about it if you trust someone so much you expect them to do the right thing 100% of the time, then you are setting yourself up to get stabbed in the back. If you dont trust enough then you will not be able to keep any type of relationship because you lack that trust and you will always be expecting the worst in people. This quote relates to my life because i had all the trust in the world from my parents and i lost quite a bit of it because i got caught smoking weed. After that experience my parents are looking out for me because they want whats best for me. In the book there has been alot of trust that is being put in Ralphs' leadership, the kids on the island are finally starting to become more toward the trust too much side because nobody else is doing anything for themselves, and all they are doing is letting Ralph make all of the decisions. Its kind of wierd that the kids on the island are trusting Ralph so much because he is starting to go crazy on the island.

This quote is saying that you shouldn't trust every single person. And that some people you trusted might end up hurting you. But you can't close yourself off to trust because a relationship of any kind doesn't work without trust. Usually I trust people until they give me a reason to distrust them. i think i'm actually really open in trusting other people, but once they give me a reason not to trust them, its hard to earn the trust back. I'll forgive that person, but i'll always remember what they did, so i'm not to make the same mistake again. For an example in the book Ralph trusted Jack to keep the fire going, that was Jack's job and Ralph put his entire trust in him. but when the fire went out because of jack, Ralph probably lost the trust he may have once had in Jack.

This quote means that you can't trust too much or trust too little. In my life, I realize I don't trust people enough and it takes me awhile to open up. This is a bad thing because it takes awhile for people to really know me. I believe that Ralph trusted Jack and the others too much. He trusted them to do what's right instead of what's fun. In the end Ralph ended up disapointed and frustrated. In the book Ralph let Jack be incharge of keeping the fire going. Instead, Jack took the twins hunting and let the fire go out. This was especially frustrating for Ralph because there was a ship that day and they missed the chance of being rescued.

I believe that this quote means you can't always trust everyone, because they may betray you. Although, you can't just not trust anyone at all, because I believe that in order to have a relationship with a person you need to trust them. One of the main reasons why people are afraid to trust is because they've been let down so many times, their afraid that if they let someone in and trust them, they'll leave and hurt you, again. I used to trust a lot of people, but that trust has slowly faded away because they would tell others. It's not that I have trust issues, I only trust two or three people, I just don't want to take any chances. Sometimes someone just has let their anger and frustration out. In the book Piggy was let down by Ralph. In the very beginning, Piggy told Ralph that the kids back home used to call him Piggy, and he hated it, and it hurt him. Piggy trusted Ralph not to tell the other boys when the united for the first assembly, but Ralph did anyway and told everyone. Then everyone all started laughing at Piggy, and it was just like he was back home. How this example relates to the quote is by, Piggy was deceived by Ralph who told the others, but he tried to create a friendship with others, and have a bond of trust, but Ralph just shot it down. I bet it didn't only hurt Piggy that Ralph spilled his secret, I bet it hurt because now he doesn't even have a friend, and keeps to himself mostly. He's an misfit. All in all, you can't trust everyone, but you can't not trust anyone, you have to find a place in between.

The quote "You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough," Frank Crane, means that you should trust people, but you need to be smart about it. If you trust someone once and they prove you wrong, think about it before you trust them again. I think the amount of trust someone has towards others is based on their past experiences. If you have been decieved a lot in the past then what reason would you'have to trust now? You don't want to automatically not trust people when you meet them, but you shouldnt trust them with your secrets either. You have to finda happy medium. An easy example from real life of when i trusted someone too much would easily be when i trusted someone with a secret and a lot of people ended up finding out. But, i learned from that and know to be careful of what i tell that person. An example from lord of the flies would be in the begining when Piggy trusts Ralph by telling him his old nickname and Ralph tells the rest of the boys after Piggy asks him not to. Betrayal is something you have to learn from, and the amount of trust you have for someone is based on betrayal.

This quote to me means you cant trust everyone. If you trust someone to much they may deceive you. But if you dont trust anyone you keep all your emotions bottled up inside. Losts of people have trust issues for certain reasons. I relate to this quote because dont trust everyone. I only trust a few people and they are my best friends. Piggy im not so sure, I think he only trust Ralph and Simon because people make fun of him. So, it seems like he will only show confidence in Ralph and Simon.

The quote above can relate to my life in many ways. If I trust too much in someone they might take advantage of me. However, not trusting someone enough would be much worse. If I were to not trust anyone I would be living my life in fear of always being lied to, and always being afraid of being taken advantage of. This quote can also be related to the book. In the book, Ralph put Jack in charge of keeping the fire going. Ralph put too much trust in Jack, and Jack let the fire go out. However, Ralph needs to trust others on the island because he can't do everything by himself. Even though people are afraid to put trust in others, they need to take the risk because in the end the risk could save everything.

Relationships are based on trust. I always try to see the good in someone and want to believe what they say. Trust has to be earned. This past summer I have done some things that my parents did not approve of; Yes, I deceived my parents but they wanted to believe in me. Parents can trust too much and be deceived; but, if they were not to trust at all they will always be questioning your morality. In the beginning of LOTF Piggy trusted Ralph with the nickname the kids called him, "Piggy", Ralph deceived Piggy by telling the other boys what his nickname was. Piggy needed to trust someone, therefore, he trusted Ralph. If Piggy did not feel there was someone he could confide in, he would have gone crazy. It was worth having a friend to trust even though Ralph deceived him and told everybody else. Also, Ralph trusted the twins to keep the fire going and they let the fire go out. A ship passed them by because of this incident. If Ralph did not trust the twins to keep the fire going he would have been tormented that they might never get rescued. It is better to trust someone than live in fear that nobody has any morals.

Trust is an important part of our lifes. We need trust to build better relationships with others. But it aso means to not always trust everyone. Some people are deceitful and arent always trustworthy. In my life, i tend to trust everyone, unless they give me a reason not to trust them. I feel that im a trustworthy person, so i expect others to be the same with me. This quote relates to Lord of the Flies, because Ralph trusted Jack to tend to the fire. But Jack didnt keep that promise, and let the fire go out. So Ralph had a reason to never trust Jack again.

Personally, this quote means that while you may get hurt if you place your trust in someone, you will always be looking over your shoulder if you never trust anyone. This makes a lot of sense. I have placed my trust in people before and have been burned very bad. For example, my father is an alcoholic. He promised me, that he would stop drinking and that he was going to get clean. One night I came home from a day at cedar point and found plates smashed all over the floor. He told me, that he wanted to know which plates smash better. I was hurt. However, that does not mean that I am never going to trust anyone ever again. If I couldnt trust some people, then I would be a complete mess. There are a lot of things that have happened to me, or that happen to me, that I dont want everyone to know. If i couldnt trust people to keep their mouths shut, I would never be able to talk to anyone. In the book, Ralph trusted that Jack was on his side. He and Jack had bonded on that journey into the forest. Ralph thought that Jack would dstand by him. What did he do, he ran off and made his own tribe. Not only that, but at one point Jack tried to kill Ralph. On the other hand, Piggy has been at ralphs side through the whole book. Even when Ralph was being a jackass, Piggy was still there. So, while you might get burned by trusting someone every once in a while, it doesnt mean that you should spend your entire life not trusting anyone.

This quote relates to the lord of the flies in many ways. Trust in the LOTF plays a big part because the characters are all unsure of who they can trust. Being on a random island with people that you have never met may be hard to trust because you don't know who there are and how they are. This quote relates to me in many important ways. Trust is one of the first things i look for in a person. When you get older you need to have people you can trust. If you can't trust anyone then you'll start to wonder if your trust worthy.

I agree with this quote. It applies in my life because I trust people way too easily and forgive quickly. It usually ends up hurting me because if someone lets me down or does something to make me upset I just let it go and go back to how things were and it usually happens again. On the other hand, if I was to never forgive anyone every time I was let down, I wouldn't have any friends left. There needs to be a balance. The past few years I have really been finding out who my friends are and learning who I can trust with secrets and who to keep distant. An example from the book is Piggy. He trusted Ralph too easily at the beginning and was let down. It took a while for him to build the trust back up but now they are good friends and have each others backs. Ralph trusted Jack to keep the fire going and hunt but he lost some of that trust and never got it back.

This quote by Frank Crane is very true in everyone's lives. If you trust to much, you will always be expecting too much from other people and you will constantly be let down. If you dont have any trust at all, you wont be able to have a stable relationship with anybody because you will just expect the worst from people. This quote relates to my life in many ways. I sometimes assume the worst in people before I get to know them which isnt a good thing. My parents trust me alot but I have let them down sometimes which causes them to lose some of that trust. In the book, Ralph put Jack in charge of keeping the fire burning. Ralph put his and the rest of the groups trust in him. When Jack let him/them down, Ralph probably lost alot of trust in Jack. In the future, Ralph probably will go to someone else to do something when he asks.

I believe this quote is saying that you have to at least trust some people, or else you will just be putting stress on yourself too much. On the other hand if you trust too much then you are only going to be lied to, played, and deceived. This quote relates to me and my life because if I trust someone else on the football field will make the play every time, then I'm going to be deceived when the play goes right by me. If I just depend on other people, then I myself am capable of being deceived when the people I put my trust in need someone to help them also. But again, if I dont have some sense of trust in my teammates, then we will not be able to come together and bond as a team and win games. This quote relates to Ralph the most for me. He trusts Jack to not let the fire out, but he is deceived when he finds that Jack put what Ralph wanted second, and hunting first, letting the fire out. Ralph has to trust Jack a little bit tho, because its just putting too much stress on him if he has to worry about all of Jack's jobs all the time along with his own.

The quote, "You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough," by Frank Crane, relates in the Lord of the Flies and in real life. Im not sure why but most people have trust isses in life. They either cant trust enough, or trust people too much. If you dont trust people enough you keep everything bottled up which can drive you crazy. personally i tell too much, if someone asks about somthing i have a hard time telling them i cant tell, sometimes that gets me in trouble. this relates to the book lord of the flies in a few charecters but one person in perticular is simon, he keeps to himself and isnt very outgoing.

This quote is saying to have confidence, to have confidence in my own decisions and trust myself. This quote relates to The Lord of the Flies, especially right now becuase people are starting to second guess voting Ralph as leader of the group. Theyre not trusting him enough and if they dont trust him they will live in torment. They are being deceived by Jack becuase he is showing them fun and adventure, and the group isnt focusing on reality, and survival. If they dont trust Ralph, their chances of survival greatly diminish. An example from the book is when Jack goes out hunting with his group of hunters, including some little uns, used to carry back the catch. Jack shows the two adventure and fun, which all yound kids are looking for. And because all of the children are free thats all they want to have, is fun. They arent focusing on survival because they've been so used to having someone else tell them what to do and how to do it, like their parents. When Ralph tries to take part as leader, and help them survive, the kids look at him like he's their parent and they dont like that so they dont trust him enough, or as much as Jack.

This quote to me says that if you spend your life depending or trusting to much you will be disappointed. Sometimes it is good to trust people, but only to a certain extent. However if you have no trust in anything you will only end up hurting yourself. You can not only depend on yourself you need to have someone you can rely on to make it in life. In life I can relate to this quote very much. I try not to trust in people to much, because I know sometimes they can let you down. I do like to be able to depend on people in life however, it makes me feel less alone. I think Ralph is a good example of this quote. I think he tries not to depend on people to much, because he knows they can let you down. At the same time though he is a leader so he needs to be able to put trust in people to be a good leader. By putting trust in them he can be a successful leader, but only if he is careful of the amount of trust he is investing in him.

This quote relates to my life in many ways. One way it relates to me and my life is that if you trust people to much you can be manipulated easier. If you don’t trust anyone you will not live a horrible life. So this quote is saying that I should trust the right people. This quote also says not to trust too many people but at the same time you must trust some people in order to live a good life and not in misery. This quote relates to Simon in lord of the flies. It relates to him because he should trust himself to be a good leader. He is the most qualified person to be the chief of the island, but he doesn’t trust himself and he doesn’t think he can do it.

This quote can be seen im everryday life. This was seen in my life with my best friend. Sometimes, you trust someone with too much informatoin, or responsibilites. Eventually they will slip, and tell people things, or not be abke to handle what they are doing. Next, if you dont trust anyone, you wont make good relationships an d friendships. In the book, Ralph trusts too many people. He sets himself up to be betrayed and looked down upon. On the other hand, Jack doesnt trust many people. This is backfiring because somethimes people could help him hunt but they dont because they arent close or friends.

The quote "You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough." by Frank Crane relates to my life as well as the charecters in LOTF. If you trust prople too easily in life, they will take advantage of it. This has happened to me many times, trust people way too easily and endup getting screwed over and let them " walk all over" me. Then again, if you don't trust people enogh you will lose much more in the long run. If you give no one your trust or accept theirs its not even worth it... whats a reletionship without trust? If you dont trust someone, like said in the quote it will torment you, but if you give out too muchtrust i think it could torment you also. You need to find the inbetween of trust, that will help you out. In LOTF all the charecters need to trust Ralph when hes leader because hes controlling everything that happens on the island. If they put too much trust into Ralph he couldbetray them. Thats why theirs an in between that will get you by with not giving out too much or too little trust.

Other times i like not having to tell people my issues. i think that Simon is like this because he feels that he can't trust anyone on the island because of what they will say. What this quote is saying is you should not trust everyone because the more of your trust you give out, the more likely you are to be hurt because of it. On the other hand, if you do not trust anyone, then you can never make any strong relationships with others. Without strong relationships, you can never have people who have your back in tough situations. In my life, I have a couple close friends that I know I can trust, and they are the only ones that I can tell about a lot of problems I am having. They help me through my worries and issues, and I do the same for them. There are people who I have learned cannot be trusted with much at all, so I just act nicely towards them, but know that I do not have to tell them anything, because they will just turn around and tell the world. Sometimes people lose my trust, but I think trust can always be regained to a certain point if both people really want to make it work. In Lord of the Flies, Piggy trusts Ralph not to tell the others his name, but Ralph breaks his trust and Piggy is hurt because of it. Ralph starts to feel bad about it and actually likes Piggy a little, so Piggy’s trust comes back for Ralph as the story continues and Ralph helps Piggy out.

This quote is basically telling me that no one is perfect. You can't depend on anyone fully simply because we are all human. Mankind make mistakes, it's inevitable. Although we want to believe we can trust someone fully because they have never done anything to lose our trust we can not depend on that fully. We think we can trust our friends, family, and even political figures but we always have to have that chance of fault tucked in the back of our minds. This quote could relate to Ralph's trust in Jack and his hunters in the book. Ralph trusted Jack to be able to be second in command (incommand of just the hunters) and to keep the fire going. Later in the book both of these alliances are broken. Jack overthrows Ralph and let's the fire go out.
The sad truth is that we cannot trust anyone.

This quote relates to me because I trust too much. An example is when I was in a group in a science class experiment and I trusted too much in another student that he would do his job. But he did not do his job so we all got E’s for that experiment. Now I feel that I have to do all the work because I cannot trust any of my partners. A character that relates well to this quote is Ralph. He relates well because he is the leader of all the kids on the island. He has to trust that everyone will do as he said. An example is when Ralph trusted Jack so much that he thought that Jack would keep someone on the signal fire at all times. Unfortunately, Jack pulled someone off fire duty to kill a pig; this is when a ship passed by the island. Because of Jack they lost the chance of being rescued. Now he is worried that no one will follow through with any of his orders because of Jack’s action.

This quote also means if you don't trust anyone enough or at all you won't get any where. Without trust you can not holf any good type of a realationship. I think you need to trust people. The quote "You may be decieved if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough" Frank Crane does relate to The Lord of The Flies. The group of kids are starting to rethink voting Ralph as leader. They are being mislead by Jack because he is concentrating on having fun, rather than being rescued. This quote also says that you should not trust someone to much because you will start to expect nothing less then perfection, which happened in LOTF. An example from LOTF would be when Ralph trusted Jack to keep the fire going but he let it go out because he went out hunting. Another example is when Piggy at the very biggining of the book told Ralph in confidence that he would not tell anybody else, his nickname was piggy. Ralph broke his trust with Piggy when he told everybody his nickname.

I think this quote means that you can't trust everyone you meet. You have to pick the people you trust, usually they are good friends or family. But if you don't trust some people then you wont be able to have relationships with them. Sometimes people are afraid to trust others. Usually when people are afraid to trust others is because someone in their past has given them a reason not to trust other people. If I was Piggy I wouldn't know who to trust. He trusted Ralph and told him what people called him, but Ralph betrayed his trust and told everyone. Now in the book you can see Piggy not really trusting many people. An example from my life is that I trust my best friend Kaleigh with basically everything. But, I don't trust many other people. It takes a lot to gain my trust because I have been let down before.

This quote means a lot of things to me. We as humans tend to trust other people that we know. We trust people that other people know. We even trust people that we don't sometimes. I have trusted some people to do things that never ended up happening. This often happens when we do group assignments, and the other person does not hold up their end of the bargain. It is sad that we expect so much, but often get back much less. Ralph trusted the hunters to keep the fire going. They ended up letting it go out. Ralph should not have trusted the hunters to do what they promised to do. All people make mistakes like this, but this is a learning experience for all of us, the people who we trusted and ourselves.

This quote is saying that if you trust too much you will be hurt in the long run. This is because the more trust you give to people the more vulnerable you are to the people. The second part of this quote says that if you are never able to trust anyone you wont be able to have a good friend who has your back. You also will never experience any form of relationship. In my life I like people to trust me so that I can trust them back. This way I can have friends who will have my back. Simon in the Lord of the Flies is living in the middle of these. He doesnt trust many people so he is often forgotten and not cared about. For example, when he is out in the woods watching the Lord of the Flies, nobody remembers that he exists so he doesnt have very good bond with anyone.

The quote, "You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough," by Frank Crane, relates in the Lord of the Flies and in reality, because, when in real life, if you trust a shady person you will pay for it. What I mean by this ism you will end up being walked all over for your whole life if you trust someone to much. However, if you trust someone to little, it can be hard to build relationships and you will become distant from the outside world. You will end up having no friends or family left to trust you in return. Also, the quote relates to Lord of the Flies because in general Piggy is very on and off with his trust. Most of the time he trusts Ralph and the others, but through out the book he stands up and broadcasts his own opinion and defends it because he doesn't trust the others to make the right decision. Piggy is very hot and cold. He is always indecisive and judging whether or not he makes the right decision in who he trusts.

Frank Crane's quote, "You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough." relates both directly to my life and life in lord of the flies. Throughout my life I have noticed that many times friendships and trust can be easily lost when I trust one person too much. When you tell someone something that you want to keep between the two of you, you are showing trust. I have found that some people can be trusted more than others. However, it is also important that you surround yourself with people that you can trust because life can be very cold if you don't have someone to share your feelings with. On the island, the boys are put in many situations where everything from their secrets to their own survival relies almost one hundred percent on their trust in the other boys. For instance, Piggy placed trust in Ralph at the beginning of the story when he told him his nickname back home in hopes that Ralph would keep it a secret for the rest of the boys. Unfortunately, Ralph was unable to do so and ended up announcing it to everyone which most likely shattered Piggy's trust in Ralph at the time. I've had many experiences with trust and have learned a lot about myself through it all. I've learned who I can and can't trust from experiences where people have lost my trust. I've really been learning to be careful.

I think this quote is saying that trust is everything in s relationship but if you trust everyone you may be misled. Trust is something that must be gained by a person over time and personal experiences with that person. Many people just trust everyone they see on the streets these days. It also has a lot to do with perception. Most people wouldn't trust there children with a 40 year old ex convict with long hair and spiked earings. Sometimes you need to trust people you don't know for instance a firefighter coming to hep you. You need to trust that he will make smart decisions to get you out of there. In the begining of the book Ralph selects two others with him to explore the island meaning they have to trust each other to make smart choices and decisions along the way. Also all the boys just put there trust into Simon when he becomes leader just because there having fun doesn't mean they will make it out alive under the leadership of Simon.

The quote is stateing, that you can not put too much trust into people because thne your expectations are high and you will end up geting dissapointed. It is also saying that if you do not put any trust at all, it would be hard to live youir life with others, because you have to put a little trust into everything you do. For example, going out to eat at a restaurant, you have to trust that the people who made the food didn't poisin it or taint it. The quote basicly says it would be a miserable life, if you didn't depend or trust others. Pigy for example, depends on Raplh to keep Jack from hurting him. The second that Ralph isn't in the way, Piggy knows Jack will be right for him. Piggy is putting trust into Ralph. Having trust is like taking a risk, in the end you don't really know the outcome of it. All you can do is hope for the best and that the person is pure and good.

I think i trust people a lot. I think that until they give me a reason not to i will trust them. Also, i think i have pretty good judgement on who to trust and who not too. In the book i think that ralph was too trustworthy of jack and the littluns. First off sam n eric were suposed to maintain the signal fire. Instead they fell asleep. Also, jack was supposed to tend to the fire but he was off hunitng. If the fire was going they could of possibly been off the island rescued.

"You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough." By Frank Crane, explains that when you trust someone too much, you can get screw over, but if you don’t trust anyone, it is hard in the long run to trust yourself and then you get tangled up an a mess of trust issues. I trusted one of my best friends and after time passed, it came to me believing in her lies more than her. Someone I know doesn’t trust anyone, and you have to literally fight for her trust. With her not easily trusting people she realizes that is hard for her to start relationships because she can’t trust any guy she meets. In “Lord of the Flies” Jack doesn’t trust anyone on the island except for himself, which turns into him killing his group members. On the other hand, Ralph put too much thought in jack. When Ralph did this, he caused himself to not really see jack for a dictator. Ralph ended up loosing most of his group and Simon as well to one of Jacks rational behaviors. All in all, it is not a good decision to put a lot of trust in one person, but it is also not good to put no trust in anyone.

Mr. Kay, I did the other blog yesterday so I am going back to do this one today.

This quote is stating the importance in having trust in people. When you trust to much, you may be lied to, but if you do not have trust, then you will live in torment. This quote relates to my life, because sometimes I am not trusting of people I don't know. I should have more faith that people will keep my trust. If I am not trusting of anyone, I will have to deal with everything in life by myself. Sometimes I might be let down, but in the end, more people are going to be trustworthy. This relates to the boys in the book when they didn't trust Ralph to take care of them. When Jack presented something more fun to do, the boys left Ralph. They boys didn't think that Ralph was better suited for survival then Jack. In reality, Ralph is the smarter of the two, and is better suited for survival. Another example is when Simon tried to tell the boys that the beast wasn't real. No one believed him, and let their fear take Simon's life. If they would have trusted Simon's word, no longer would they be in turmoil thinking about the beast.

I did my blog before you posted this one yesterday so Im just gonna do this one today.

The quote by Frank Crane relates to Lord of the Flies in many ways. All of the boys crash-landed on an island and are forced to pretty much live with all the boys they had crashed with. These boys have never met each other, and have no clue who is trust worthy and who isnt. Trust plays a major role in everybody's life. If you dont trust anybody than you wont go far in life. Like wise, if you cant be trusted than nobody will ever think of you as a real friend. Trust is one factor that everybody looks for in people. Not to mention trust is one thing that you also look for in everybody.

I fell this quote takes the position of a leader and your choices in following that leader. When the quote states that you may be decieved if you trust to much is refering to believing in whatever is said. The decieving part means to be mislead. So when you follow a king, leader or what ever, you must never believe in that persons decisions one hundred percent or else you may be lead into the wrong direction. An example of this would be hitler due to him taking charge and all of the citizens in germany feeling he was always right and mislead a whole country to believe that their own social problems was an innocent group or race of people. Then the quote states that you may live in torment if you are to not trust enough. This is refering to the people who do not believe in what is said and this may lead to torment or the king or people turning on you for not supporting ones choices.

In the book we are currently reading, i feel the character Ralph shows examples of this quote. At first, Ralph is elected leader but being the generous person he is, he decides to give the hunting and gathering roll to Jack. At first Ralph felt he made the right decision in trusting Jack to play his roll and keep the fire going. In the end Ralph sees that Jack really doesnt do anything to help and does not give Ralph the feeling that he is doing his job.

This quote means a lot to me. I have a friend that has hurt me a lot. It took me a while to start trusting him again. We have a good friendship now but sometimes it really hard to tell if he's being truthful or not. When I find that I doubt what he's saying it really does torment, and it hurts a lot. Your always left with the thought of unknowing whats going on. I think Ralph is being tormented by trust. He wants to trust Jack, that he will be a good leader and get them food. Yet, he knows that Jack can't be a successful leader and that he will fail.

This quote relates to Lord of The Flies alot. People there are afraid to trust eachother. They are afraid of the beast and they dont trust there suroundings either. In my life i have learned who i can and cant trust. If i dont trust peple then that will make my life just miserable. Sometimes i trust the wrong people though. From the story AN example is how simon doesnt feel that he can really trust anyone on the island. He pretty much keeps to himslef while hes on the island.

The quote "You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough." by Frank Crane relates to the book Lord of the Flies and to me also. It relates to Lord of the Flies because they are stuck on an island and they have to learn to trust one another. They didn't even know each other before they got to the island so they are forced to trust each other when they just met. It also relates to Lord of the Flies because if you don't trust each other then nothing woukld get done on the island and it wouldn't be good. In the book they have to trust one another to get food and if they didn't they would just got hungry. It relates to me becuase if ididn't trust anyone I would just keep to myself all the time and probably be really depressed. This qoute is saying it is always a goos thing to trust people.

Hey mr. kay. heres my blog since i wasnt able to do it yesterday cuz it kept saying error and not letting me put it up.

"You may be deceived if you trust too much, but you will live in torment if you do not trust enough."
Frank Crane

This quote relates to both reality and Lord of the Flies. I know that in reality if you trust somebody too much and they betray you you feel crushed. Like you can't trust anybody ever again. But if you trust somebody just enough, then it's not as bad if that person betrays you. In Lord of the Flies Ralph trusted Samneric too much. Then they gave away his hiding place when he was trying to hide from Jack and his tribe. But Ralph trusted Piggy just enough and he never betrayed Ralph like that.

I believe that this quote means that when you start to trust every word out of someones mouth there is bond to be a little fault to what they afe saying. There is not one trust worthy person on this earth that tells the truth 24/7, 365 days a year. Everyone lies to save there own ass or even to save you from getting your feeelings hurt. I know I do this and I always will. I would love to think that I can always trust soeone, but you can't and its sad. A chacter that this quote relates to is simon. Simon is still unsure that he can trust anyone on the island because he is afraid of what they will say. He keeps to himself and when he finally says something, it can backfire.

In your lifetime, your bound to meet someone who youd least expect to deceive you with your trust. On the other hand, you have to trust someone or else youre always going to live in doubt. In the book, I think Ralph has deceived Piggy in many ways. In the beginning, piggy begs ralph not to tell the others what his nickname is, yet ralph tells them and piggy is ashamed to have trusted ralph. Another example was when piggy would have the conch, yet no one was paying any attention to what he had to say. Ralph, being the chief, could have fended for piggy although he just sat there and let the others nag him. Piggy has looked to ralph as someone who can protect him and someone who he can speak freely around without having to second guess himself. Ralp has let piggy down many times and doesnt see that piggy looks up to him and he needs to do a better job of listening to him.

This quote relates to me because I honestly barely trust anyone. Some people could care-a-less about private stuff you tell them. Some wouldn't think twice about blurting your personal information. Even though there are delightful people like that, we still need to find one person that actually cares. I would feel empty if i didn't have one person that i could fully lean on if i needed them. In the story, Piggy trusted Ralph not to mention his nickname. Ralph didn't care and blurted it out. Basically piggy's whole experience on the island will be hell because he doesn't have a person to call his friend.

I think that this qoute relates to the story because people are affraid to trust otheres around them . It take a lot to trust someone when you just meet them. This qoute relates to my life a lot because i tend to trust to many people and end up getting scerwed over to many times. i dont think that the more you trust someone and the more you get let down you learn from your mistake because i try so hard to trust some one i know will let me down because i believe that everyone diserves chances and i beleive that if God can forgive you more then you dicerve then you should do the same.
