What do you think of the novel thus far? How would you classify Oknokwo's chi? How would you describe your own chi?
Have a great break and a great Thanksgiving no matter what the manner of your celebration. Be smart and be safe and I will see you on Tuesday.

I honestly think the novel is a little boring. It hasn't really grabbed my interest yet. Oh well, maybe I'll just have to give it time. Oknokwo's chi is somewhat angry. I think he should reflect upon himself and try to create a better chi. I believe my own chi is fairly good and laid back. I try to stay relaxed no matter what the circumstance.
I think that Oknokwos chi is angry. He seems like a unpleased guy. He doesnt respect his father because he was lazy and a failure. He doesnt accept failure. He is a wrestler and is good at it. He is a very strong and intimidating guy. It's like he tries to be angy. I think my own chi is pretty relaxed. Im calm and personable.

i wasnt here yesterday so i didnt get to read much of the story. so far i think its a pretty good story. But to me at times is a little confusing. i would classify Oknokwo's chi as fustrated or ashamed. But on the other time he seems strong. from what i can tell if seems like he went though a lot when he was younger. But has a anger problem. I need to read more of the story before i can give u a full answer.
well have a good brake Mr. Kay
im sorry i dont really know how to answer your ?..
well ill see you on tue.
I agree with Dan that this book is a little boring. The names are hard to pronounce. This book would be much easier for me to understand if the names were not in a different language. I honestly do not understand the novel much thus far. I get the impression that Okonkwo is not happy on the inside. I feel unhappy on the inside also.
This book is absolutely horrible for the first seven chapters. There's absolutely nothing that is worth mentioning, however, the book becomes immediately and infinitely more engaging once you hit chapter 8. Now, Okonkwo's chi is definitely too masculine. He beats his wife and children just to look strong. He's the epitome of male chauvinism and, I feel, that is his biggest downfall. For my own chi, I would classify myself as more timid, introverted and slightly unfeeling person. I'm not the type to sympathize as easily with someone as others may, while I'm not un-empathetic, I don't feel that I need to feel what other people are feeling. I don't beat anyone that I know, so I wouldn't categorise myself as violent, but I do enjoy a good game of ACTS, or air-soft combat-tactical simulation. Basically you shoot at people with replica-weapons. That's my idea of a good time, but I sill don't have urges to shoot people when I'm angry at them. Therefore, I feel that I am an introverted, cool-hearted smart-ass who at least knows how to have a good five hour game of shooting at people when I'm in the mood for it.
I, along with Dan, think that thus far the novel hasn't been anything captivating.
Okonkwo's chi is very angry and downright crass. He abuses his children and wives simply to seem more powerful, and he is an all-around asshole, it seems. He hates his father, Unoka, so much, for being lazy, however isn't laziness a much better quality than chauvinism? In describing my chi, I would say that I have one of a very happy-go-lucky demeanor. Generally, I'm a very happy person and I try to create a focal point around the finer things of life. I am an optimist. My chi is very hyper and energetic, too; much like yours, Marc. I am very talkative, very friendly, and constantly moving and fidgeting around. I have this weird quick wherein I cannot sit without shaking or bouncing one of my legs, usually my right leg. A bit of a goofball, but that's alright,
this novel made absolutely no scene to me at all in the beginning. Now that i have gotten to chapter 5 i think it's kind of picking up. i hope it turns out to be a good story. Oknokwos chi has been negative. he really hasn't done anything positive at all. His chi is really starting to change in chapter 5. i believe that this chi is going to change during he whole story. i think my chi is a lot better than Oknokwos chi. i don't get angry about much. i do have things that do anger me like people eas dropping on someones conversation and then saying stuff they think they heard but it's not what the people said at all. which causes rumors to start. when this happens i can completely relate my chi with Oknokwos chi.
i think the novel is interesting and not at the same time. i think the whole yam thing is quite unusual. if yams equal wealth then why isnt everyone wealthy because it sounds like growing yams is not that difficult. at first i thought that Okonkwo had good chi because he was very sucussful but recent conversations made light of another thought on it. i can also see how his chi could be very bad as well. even though he has all these yams he still is unhappy and cares moe about being a strong tough person than an actual person. i think this has alot to do with how his father lived his life and also how others look at him. as for my chi i think i have alot f good and bad because every now and then i will have a good day or week or what ever but i will also have alot of bad ones with problems here and there as well so overall its prettybalanced but lately i think it is more bad.

The novel "Things Fall Apart", really hasn't interested me yet. I find it hard to read because i am not as interested in it. Oknokwo's chi is some what angry and mad. The way he feels like this is he hates letting himself down. He is truely fearful of himself and hates to disapoint himself. He doesn't want to be anything like his dad. Oknokwo feels like he almost has to make up for what his father has done in his life, which has been nothing to Oknokow. I would describe my chi as pretty balanced. I like to be happy and cheerful. Thank you and i hope you have a great Thanksgiving also.
i personally have mixed feelings about this story. In some parts it can be quite interesting. In others though...it could put anyone to sleep. I also feel while it seems to be a decent book, i think that it jumps around a little bit in the story line confusing some people. I would classify Oknowkwo's chi was once good but with his striving for perfection he has turned it bad. I think he needs to be thankful for his success and not go around trying to perfect others. I feel that i would normally have very good chi.

I dont really like this novel. It doesnt grab my attention as much as another book might. I think it is extremely weird how yams equal wealth. If thats the case wouldn't it be easy to be wealthy when all you have to do is grow yams. That part of the story is not very good. Okonkwos chi is terrible. It is extremely unbalanced. He as to much masculine in his chi and not enough feminine. Right now his chi is negetive. He wants it to be right in between negetive and positive.
